A Night To Remember Forever - Page 3 Empty Re: A Night To Remember Forever

I agree that our actions handicapped us unnecessarily Seven and I believe our team members need to take individual responsibility for those incidents - though at the end of the day we win as a team and we lose as a team and its the collective fault of everyone that we couldn't respond - however we can be proud still in that whilst our hopes were high, for many, our expectations were low.

With major absences throughout the team, Thiago Silva and Van Bommel in both legs, Abate for the first, Aquilani, Seedorf and Boateng all having only a couple of games in their legs since their returns from injury, what we really wanted to see is that our players deserved to play for AC Milan.

Whilst I can be disappointed about our mistakes, our players played with spirit and honestly provided the best they could manage. The eleven we fielded was never going to be capable of a flawless match; what our players did offer was their best and we could see the heart that they played with. Ambrosini gave a performance over two legs that any captain would be proud of. Our team gave us high hopes for over 140 minutes that we could snatch something when we weren't even at a high ebb. That much is worth our appreciation for the team's efforts.

The biggest positive to take from both the legs is that,in allegri we have a world class tactician...Our tactical system is very compact and if it wasn't for some individual errors we could have won the tie at the sansiro itself...With proper resources at his disposal this man could do wonders! :matrix:

Yeah, Allegri is an awesome tactician.

After this defeat one of the good thing to we can hope Very Happy is that he learned something as he did after elimination from Totenham last year, or after the defeat against Madrid last year.
