A Night To Remember Forever
So that's it, 3-1 on aggregate for Barca.
If you've skipped everything in the last two weeks and wake up tonight to see the score, you're right to think that Barca got what they deserved. But there's more to it.
An injury-ravaged, unfit, aging, tired Milan lined up like an army of wounded veterans who fight courageously till they're burnt-out, and never kneel. Never.
Tonight we won, it's as simple as that.
A group of men against a bunch of truly masterful con artists who deservedly carry the title of the best team in the world.
But no, we were no match for them skill-wise. What we had was manhood, sportsmanship, grit, zeal, conviction and integrity.
No sir, Nesta wouldn't dive like a 5-year-old weakling when someone niggles him, no, he stands up and keeps defending his team until the last second.
No sir, Ambrosini won't send Messi flying in the air with a brutal tackle like Mascherano did, no. We are Milan, we are taught to stay true to our principles.
No sir, Ibra wouldn't have done those disgusting moves in Barca's area if we were leading, no. We know we must respect opponents, being big losers or great winners.
This Milan side, will remain in my memory for what they achieved while surrounded in a castle in which injustice is the order of the day.
They didn't give us that penalty, they called for a wrong one against us and they kept harassing us over and over and over again.
I hereby salute our old warhorses Seedorf and Ambrosini for their efforts.
I salute Ibra who single-handedly pushed and pushed for Milan and never complained, not once. He showed them how it's done after Masch clearly kicked him but he chose to stay silent.
And what can I say about the man of the match Nesta? Alessandro The Great never lets you down, and while totally rusty and unprepared, gives you a performance to be taught in Football schools around the globe. What a player, what a man.
Go ahead Blaugrana, have fun with our stolen place in the semis, you really deserve it.
Today, more than ever, I'm proud of being a Rossonero.
I love you guys, I mean it. With tearful eyes but a happy heart and a head held high. I'll never forget you and what you did, for giving us a lesson of just how to be good, how to be noble.
Thank you Milan.

Barcelona a group of con artists? please.
Not even bothering to respond to these fallacious excuses, go on and enjoy your "win"

Very eloquent post Iras. The team played splendidly; they are true gladiators and champions. Not divers and whiners like the other team.
There will be justice sooner or later; I am really tired of the favoritism showed towards Barcelona. As some would say, "Every pig will have his Saturday arrive".

Re: A Night To Remember Forever
Yeah funny you didn't mention countless of fouls on Barcelona players that left unbooked over both legs.
Also funny how you forgot blatant penalty on Alexis on the first leg.
And even funnier how you decided to ignore Nesta's clear pull on Dani Alves in penalty box.
But no, I guess you forgot those. Or decided to forget them.

I agree, being a con-artist is a dignified profession, it takes skill and detail.
Barca's just a rich kid who just sits back and waits for Daddy to take care of the rest.

Re: A Night To Remember Forever
I'm happy with the performance of our team, for the most part. I can't be mad at them for losing, but I'm still damn well pissed that we lost. The manner in which Barcelona beat us is painful. It's a hard pill to swallow when your team undergoes an injustice such as this. I'm officially joining the Barca-hate bandwagon (not that I ever particularly liked them).

Re: A Night To Remember Forever
All I did was respond to a clear unreasonable attack on Barcelona, any comment will set these guys off. What did we do to be called con artists in these two games? Nothing, blame the ref if you don't think that second penalty was a penalty.RealGunner wrote:leave them alone here barca fans

Re: A Night To Remember Forever
We shouldn't into hatred as we won't accomplish anything with it.
Personally, I don't Barcelona are corrupt thieves. It's just that the people at the apex of football profit from their wins. These people would love a Madrid-Barcelona match-up, and they will do anything to accomplish it.

Your players were exaggerating fouls as usual. Probably you don't see it but the whole world does. If some of your players would cut the play acting then Barcelona would be more respected.

Re: A Night To Remember Forever
I personally think that UEFA shapes up the final for their own benefit and I dont think it only happens to Barcelona, it happens to every team in the world. If they match the final that the football fans desire then they will be able to get alot of money from broadcasts, advertisements and etc.
