Re: If there is a God, he will put Bayern and Barca against each other in the quarterfinal draw
The speed at which Idrisozet changes his opinion is incredible.
Two weeks ago after losing big games to Basel and Leverkusen, Bayern was crap.
Now they trash a poor cinderella Basel and they are back at being the best.
Bayern is a hot and cold side with a woeful defense that is in serious danger to get rolled on by some of the remaining contenders.
Any team with somewhat of an attacking game is going to make life horrible for them. Not to mention how inconsistent they are with their form. Drawing APOEL or Marseille is the best thing that can happen to them at this point.

good to see you get back that confidence considering your team lost to both bvb and bmg who are title contenders
lets see how long you keep that confidence in your team up now

As Long as Schweini is back and Crisis is sorted and we keeP scoring 14 Goals in 2 Matches and Having a better Defensive Record than Barcelona
And I Never Lost Confidence i was only Mad at The Coach for Not bringing Out The best in our Players like they Should be performing
Re: If there is a God, he will put Bayern and Barca against each other in the quarterfinal draw
As usual I can counter this with some numbers here. In the BL, Bayern are currently the side with the second best defense (17 goals against in 25 matches), and in the CL they got 7 goals against, which is average (of the surviving 6+4 teams, only Real are significantly better with only 3 goals against but one match less, while Marseille and Barca got 6 goals against each, which is still not stellar better). So you can't really speak of a "woeful defense", if you ask me, especially when two of the goals against Bayern came with them fielding a reserve team against ManCity (8 starters missing) in the last group match.Mr Nick09 wrote:Bayern is a hot and cold side with a woeful defense that is in serious danger to get rolled on by some of the remaining contenders.

2nd best defence in Europe.
Is "woeful".
Listen I think Barca is at least 60-40 to win against Bayern, but Bayerns defence, if the midfield works, which it does again these days, is anything but woeful. It's in the top 3 with BMG and Juve.
And if you discount any offense consisting of Robbery and Gomez with either Kroos or Müller in the hole, it's your own damn fault, whoever you are.

This is the beauty of the champions league. It settles all the arguments and decides everything.

i would love to see a final Bayern vs. Real, but i think Barca is still miles ahead of those two teams.
But a big LOL at the guys who take the last CL match of Bayern vs. Barca as a comparison to the present. I will show you why:

Unless you think thats wrong, Bastian did shut him down, then why you are invovled with my post I dont know.
The video is there for all to see, Bastian didnt even make one tackle on him meanwhile Messi goes past him on at least 4 different occassions.
What I see when I look at that video is Schweinsteiger being glued to Messis heels, harassing him and forcing him to make horribly bad passes because he's too worried of Piggy taking the ball off his feet to think about where the ball should go next. That's about as close as you can come to shutting a player like Messi down.
But I agree on the account that the argument "LOL PIGGY ALONE IS STOPPING MESSI" is obviously stupid.
But what Piggy did do is throw Messi off his game enough that he made players like Boateng look like 2010 Lucio, and was totally owned by the likes of Friedrich and Khedira whenever he went past Schweinsteiger.
The main argument to be made would be that, if Germany could do it, Bayern should be able to do it as well.
We'll have to wait for the actual match though. It's just that I can't abide by either extreme in this argument. Neither is Barca gonna humiliate Bayern, nor is Bayern gonna win easily. Barca go in as favorites, but it'll be hard, hard work.

I am not really seeing that, I am not seeing many misplaced passes....I see a few, which can happen and does happen in any Mesis game.
I have seen many players do well against Messi considering who Messi is, Cambiasso number 1 on that list...I honestly, do not consider Bastian, or Germany are a whole to be one of them.
Overall, I dont see Messi failing dribbles here...I see him not having enough touches in his usual areas and him making passes into runners who either ran offside or just couldnt reach the passes. I am not seeing alot of Messi being dispossed here.
The number 1 reason Messi didnt rip Germany a new one to me is simple, not enough touches and not enough touches in his normal position.
That video being 4 minutes long (featuring all his touches) being a big clue, because a Barcelona one can be twice as long. Overall, Messi probably got less than half his usual amount of touches and of those touches, maybe 1/3 of those in positions he would have for Barcelona.
I dont think this translates to Barcelona at all, I dont think it has ANY impact on any game with Bayern.
I, on the first page was the I think the 1st to say Barcelona wouldnt crush Bayern, I dont think any Barcelona fan has even said they would crush them.

Re: If there is a God, he will put Bayern and Barca against each other in the quarterfinal draw
Dunno all the Bayern hate lately. It's funny how simply it's written off, like it were Schalke or Bremen or something. Then the strawman of Bayern being 2nd in the league, like Bundesliga were a shitty league, but I guess there are still people that believe that. Bayern's first 11 is great but our bench is meh, so I'm not surprised how erratically league form has been. Obviously CL is the focus, the final being in home ground and all. The defense while being top 5 in Europe is "woeful".
Bayern definitely would not "destroy" any of Milan, Madrid or Barca, but to write us off like that as I've seen here is laughable. Hell, on current form, we have better attack than Barcelona, who if not for Messi would be stuttering.
In these type of big team game anything goes. Bayern are a far more solid side than last year. Against Barca, I can see Madrid type numbers at least when it comes to possession. Our midfield is better than Madrid's when it comes to retaining the ball, so I don't see how Barca would dominate so easily, especially with Kroos.

Nowhere did I say Messi was great in this game, yet you keep trying to dress it up like im saying that. If you actually bothered reading what I wrote, you would see I said NOTHING about Messi's general performance. I dont know if your just hating on the guiy or what, but you seem to want to make a mission to take him down a peg here, for no reason.
A normal person would look at that video and say. Hey, just 4 minutes..thats not alot for Messi..or hey, this isnt alot of touches for him compared to his games with Barca, or hey, this guy is starting his attacks from much deeper than he normally does.
Then a normal person would say, why did all this happen? They would probably come to the conclusion that Argentina playing with 1 midfielder, a now converted CB wasnt a good idea and Germany vastly outnumbered them in that area. Forcing Messi to come deep, making him have start attacks from areas he normally doesnt and so on.
But no, the line is...hes a ball hog, hes selfish. Utter crap.
Overall, I dont understand why this subject is even being discussed here. Like I am here saying, hey Messi was actually magical in that game and anyone who says different is wrong.
No, I am here saying, Bastian did nothing to stop him. Period.
As for everyone else, I am sorry I cant reply to you. All I read is Bayern will do this, Bayern willdo that, Bayern midfield will domiante this, Gomez is fast, Bayern will own Barca 3 at the back...I dont have the energy to argue all these overall meaningless and unproven points. Lets wait and see, I have to say since early on in the season I wanted to face Bayern because of all this premature talk about how great they apperently are. Lets see.
I'd be lying if I said I have never done that before () but I honestly don't think this is an example of me doing so.
My statements on Messi's overall performance was a side argument I was making, I said it again in a reply to Arq. I know your point was that Schweinstieger didn't stop Messi, you didn't say anything besides that. But I also argued that he kind of did although definitely not on his own.
It's my opinion on the matter in any case. Take it for what it is.

Hello Munday,
I have been in search of someone that bear this name Munday, when I saw your name I was pushed to contact you and see how best we can assist each other. I am Mr. James Kwame a Banker here in GHANA. I believe it is destiny for me to come across your name on the internet.
I have an important business discussion I wish to share with you which I believe will interest you and also benefit will two because, it is in connection with your last name and you are going to benefit from it.
One Late Aimo Munday, of your country had a fixed deposit with my bank in 2005 for 36 calendar months, valued at USd10,300,000.00} Ten Million, three Hundred Thousand US Dollars) the due date for this deposit contract was this 16 of January 2007.
Sadly Mr Aimo Munday, was among the death victims in the May 26 2006 Earthquake disaster in Jawa, Indonesia that killed over 5,000 people. He was in Indonesia on a business trip and that was how he met his end.
My bank management is yet to know about his death, I knew about it because he was my friend and I am his account officer.Mr Aimo Munday, did not mention any Next of Kin/ Heir when the account was opened, and he was not married and no children. Last week my Bank Management requested that I should give instructions on what to do about his funds, if to renew the contract.
I know this will happen and that is why I have been looking for a means to handle the situation, because if my Bank Directors happens to know that he is dead and do not have any Heir, they will take the funds for their personal use, so I don't want such to happen. That was why when I saw your last name I was happy and I am now seeking your co-operation to present you as Next of Kin/ Heir to the account, since you have the same last name with him and my bank head quarters will release the account to you.
There is no risk involved; the transaction will be executed under a legitimate arrangement that will protect you from any breach of law.
It is better that we claim the money, than allowing the Bank Directors to take it, they are rich already. I am not a greedy person, so I am suggesting we share the funds equal, 50/50% to both parties, my share will assist me to start my own company which has been my dream. Let me know your mind on this and please do treat this information as TOP SECRET. We shall go over the details once I receive your urgent response strictly through my personal email address, mrjameskwame140@gmail.com
We can as well discuss this on phone; let me have your telephone number and also know when you will be available to speak with me. Have a nice day and remain blessed.

Bayern also suits them, becouse they use more width. Dani was right in theory that if they push them back they benefit from it, but with Cex-Messi-Sanchez trio upfront I doubt Alves and Abidal single handedly alone can push Ribery and Robben back...
Bayern doesn't suit Madrid at all. I'm really curious, what makes you guys think Bayern suit Madrid more? Mourinho has already owned their predictibility, and will probably manage to do it again.
Milan sits back a lot and deny space and they will have their forwards and KPB running into space behind Barca's midfield. Whereas Bayern are more expansive in their play which is little bit similar to Barcelona in trying to control the game and possession etc. Although under Heynckes, i assume they have become tactically astute. But i bet we will get more space in attack against Bayern than against Milan.
Mou's Inter and Mou's Madrid and different teams and play differently too although there are a few similarities. Madrid's defense (not just the back 4) is not as solid as Inter's. Hence, why i said Bayern has more of chance to beat Madrid than Barcelona.
Indeed, while we don't have the defence of Inter, we "control" games more than Inter. Give me Bayern anyday, I want them. They have a terrible defense (Ronaldo's favourite) and they play a high line. And on top of that they play a open possession game.
Why not? Sounds like all the traits we enjoy.
Surag wrote:BarcaLearning wrote:Can u guys pls explain a bit further why Milan is more suited to beating Barca,
They are tactically suited to stop Barca more so than Bayern Munich.
Milan are a possession team but when it comes to games like these where you have no hope of having superior possession against Barcelona they are simply gonna sit deep and defend and stifle Barca try to close down spaces as much as possible since they have the personnel to do it and try to hit them on the break. This is the very Italian way of doing it.
Actually if you look at both games this season.Milan's Gameplan differed in both the home and away fixture.Milan pressed hard in their home game and chalked up a decent amount of possession.
But this is a different scenario though. It is a two legged affair and Italians are masters in how to play over two legs. But this time i'm afraid Barcelona have too much quality and Messi will be too much for them.
Whereas Bayern are a pure possession based side just like Barcelona. That is their blueprint tactic. They arent used to defending deep. They play with a high line more or less.
Barcelona have superior possession keepers to Bayern.Add to that their defense is a big weakness.I'd be seriously interested to see how Jupp approaches this tie.
I think i'd be seeing a Spain-Germany except that the scoreline would be much larger.
I think Toni Kroos would be the most important player in this tie from a Bayern perspective as he's the most technically gifted midfielder in the team and also with the ability to keep the ball.Get hold of possession ,make the telling passes under pressure.
But i'm afraid Bayern would be in for an ownage here.
Also coming to Madrid ,I think Bayern would have the better share of possession and Mou would probably counter attack.
Thanks for the explanation guys....although similarly Real also tend to play a high score and pressure higher up the pitch these days, and Marcelo and Khedira push up very often in attack. All in all thinking about it, I think it will be a very open and entertaining game Byaern vs Real. The midfield will be very interesting because with Schwine and Kroos if they play, they are able to link up and play and control, although that leaves out Muller probably. But Real have been able to pressed almost all teams into submission, so it will be interesting how Bayerns midfield cope. Apart from that I imagine it will be chances galore since both sides are better attacking than defending.
For Bayern vs Barca, I would be pretty confident, unless Robbery have absolute top games and are clinical, as the other areas of the pitch we will dominate.
Milan vs Barca, park the bus they might or press, but I just dont rate their attack or counter attack too much to worry us.
Milan vs Real, would be interesting as well...Milan are able to compete with them physically and if Ibra play well, they got a chance.
However I still think Real and Barca are much better than everyone else atm...

What's wrong with him saying that? When on form they are one of the most functional and dangerous teams out there.
They have solid CMs in Kroos and Schweini who can place the ball in dangerous places, bring the ball forward, break plays and have a very good long shot.
Then they have the best wide pairing out there in Ribery and Robben, both are players who can determine the outcome of a match, skin defenders alive, take a deep shot and create plays..
They can very well cause us problems. I'd put the them as the top 2-4 midfield today due to all the hazards packed in a 4 man line-up
..but putting BMG up there as a top 3 midfield is pretty lulz, they haven't proved much, unless you're referring to B.Liga.

And onlyconceded 7 goals all season at home. Not to mention Schweinsteiger has shut down Messi before. And an on form Robbery would give Barca endless problems. Id say 3-2 at Camp Nou (win for Barca), but then 3-1 at Allianz (win for Bayern), with Bayern going through, 5-4.
lol at bayern scoring 2 goals at camp nou. 3-1 at camp nou, 2-2 at Allianz. Barca through
