CL draw: Juventus net Bayern Munich
Juventus will have to get past German giants Bayern Munich in the last eight if their Champions League adventure is to continue.
The Old Lady went into today’s Nyon draw primarily looking to avoid three sides – Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
However, Bayern and Juventus were the last two teams out of the hat. The first leg will take place in Germany, with the return set for the Juventus Stadium.
Bayern came through the last 16 by beating Arsenal on the away goals rule, while Juve smashed five past Celtic.
Elsewhere, Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund were handed ‘kind’ ties against Galatasaray and Malaga respectively.
Barcelona, conquerors of Milan in the last round, will face a Paris Saint-Germain outfit bossed by former Diavolo tactician Carlo Ancelotti.
That tie will also see PSG’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic come up against his former side.
The first leg games are set to be played on April 2 and 3 and second leg ties are scheduled for April 9 and 10.
Quarter-final draw: Malaga-Borussia Dortmund [Apr 3 and 9]; Real Madrid-Galatasaray [Apr 3 and 9]; Paris Saint-Germain-Barcelona [Apr 2 and 10]; Bayern-Munich-Juventus [Apr 2 and 10].
