Re: First player in UCL history
Lowest quality CL in history.....United can't even get out of the easiest group.
Yeah...I'd say it's a completely rational theory.

Well, it's mostly thanks to the low level of teams like the one you support and the others in the same league that this CL doesn't look as good.
Or is it that the other teams improved?
Last year was the worst before. This has nothing to do with United. Tactically this has been the worst Cl and the most abysmal. milan and arsenal both losing by stupid scorelines. I said this last year even when we reached the cl final and i will say it again. The standard of the cl has dropped

It's so funny how people will come up with any sort of excuse to take something away from a great player. Worst CL in history? I am not even going to argue with you, lol, but how is Europa? :lol!:

Re: First player in UCL history
last season barcelona vs Arsenal, barca vs madrid, barca vs m.u were very competitive and exciting games. we saw beauty of game, goals, fights, red cards almost in every game. what more you wantjibers wrote:free_cat wrote:jibers wrote:Worst CL year since its inception. Re: First player in UCL history
What on earth is the point of bringing Ronaldo into this discussion? Seriously...
I don't like it when there's too many Messi-love threads... but this is completely necessary. Scoring 5 goals in one league game against a bad team is special enough, but doing it in a CL knockout round match is simply magnificent. This guy is the probably the most lethal player ever. His runs, with and without the ball, his finishing, his interplay... just incredible.

Easily on Diegos level and if barca retain the cl he will surpass Diego by some distance. Diego is still the most talented i have ever seen but Messi is playing better than him and for far longer. The cocaine and mafia probably didnt help, lol

One of the funnier posts I have seen in a while. Total ownage. This same team just beat Bayern but they suck.
The man scores 5 in a CL knockout game not the group stage without taking one penalty and the reason is because it's the worst CL ever. Whatever you say man.
The worst CL ever with two of the best teams in the history of Europe in it, that makes sense. But I guess that only matters if the good teams are from the EPL then it would be the best CL ever, huh?

Give the other teams credit as well
It's not that the teams who got out were terrible, The improvement in Other Leagues is there to see for all of us
The Likes of Benfica, Cska, APOEL, Basel, they all are here cause of their work n talent

Re: First player in UCL history
Exactly people discrediting cl because smaller teams that haven't been there are playing now. That is stupid logic and I hate these fanboys wit their mentality. If a small team that doesnt spend millions on players gets to the cl knockouts its because of hardworking and talent!!!

If this was any other player it would be something, but Messi this what he does another normal day at officer for Messi.
From now on no one should compare Ronaldo to Messi unless he scores 5 goals.

Re: First player in UCL history
Why so many comparasions ?
C.Ronaldo and Messi are the best players in the world, and we are lucky to see them play. Messi is more talented, C.Ronaldo is a hard-worker, different abilities but still the best.

If you are talking about achievement + consistency as well as talent then pele is unanimously the greatest. Even at their respective ages 24 year old pele did more and was more consistent than 24 year old messi, the guy won a world cup scoring 6 goals when he was 17 ect ect

Trust me....there are gonna be games where he scores 5.....It's a given by now.We are only going to get more dominant.
Messi is better end of story....don't give these Ronaldo fans hope.
