Best player in recent history to not win B d'or

This discussion a few years back was for the most part, understandably, between Henry and Raul. I now think that its fair to say that we can add a two more names. Xavi is without a doubt in the running with his last 3 solid seasons. And with his top 3 finish last year and countless accolades I believe Iniesta deserves a shout as well. So in your opinion, who truly deserves one most (they're all worthy, goes without saying)? And let's give some good reasons as well, especially since some "others" can be interesting.

Iniesta shouldn't have even been in the top 3.

Xavi is a relatively close 2nd...He definitely should've won it in '09 IMO

...but Henry should've won it more than once to be fair

Instead of Iniesta there should be an option for Totti & Del Piero.

So close this list but I'll say Henry deserves it here.

Some of them didn't deserve it though they weren't really the best in any one year.

Out of that list, Henry definitely. Xavi deserves a mention also.

I dont know your definition of recent history, but you forgot Del Piero pal, he was just amazing.

I went with Henry, as his 2003 was insane. Xavi a close second. But for u guys naming Totti and Del Piero, do u think cannavaro took their best chance of winning it in 06'?

Just found out Henry never even made the top 3

Maldini, Thuram, Nesta, Buffon, Xavi, Pirlo, (the year Cannavaro won should have been his). R.Carlos, Cafu.

They should have had 3 separate awards for the three main areas.

Cannavarro won it cause of his performance in the WC.

I still frakking love him though as I do all Defenders.

This wouldn't be a bad idea. Or if not an official award then at least some recognition of some sort but with the the ballon d'or still the most important one of all.

He was second in 03. It's the only reason I wonder how he doesn't have one, with club AND NT treble and all.

I won't have taken away the Ballon d'or from Nedved though.
