There are no friendlies when the top nations play... 3 of the France NT guys who played got injured and cannot play this weekend. It was a very physical game.
Well, I agree to disagree with you Very Happy Germany has a habit to mess up in friendlies. Heck, we even lost against Australia and drew with the Ukraine pretty recently. Yes, the match was pretty hard (IMO a bit too hard at times - Reus ramming Ribéry was really not necessary, for ex), but still I think that the players would have put an extra quantum energy in it if it had been a knockout or otherwise crucial match.

I seriously doubt Germany dont take friendlies seriously....they are one of the most consistent performers in friendlies actually.... and the results well u cant expect them to win every game, international matches are difficult, unless ur Spain eco smile

Australia  Slightly related fact... Langerak, Dortmund's 2nd choice keeper was on the bench against Germany in that game. He's a good prospect and should probably be 1st choice, although Weidenfeller has been decent and I'm a bit biased. Wink

My talking! I always say that Langerak should get more chances to play for Dortmund! The boy can be gold as one saw in the very few matches he was allowed to start.

Yeah, he's 23 now so it's about time Dortmund gave him a shot or he should consider moving club.

WTF? It's really commong knowledge that Germany never plays well in friendlies. They've always been a tournament team. The NT is infamous within Germany for how they play friendlies.

I mean I'm pretty sure that France would play differently in a tournament as well, so it remains to be seen whether this is a good excuse for losing, but Germany have always sucked in friendlies compared to their form in qualifiers and tournaments.
