Firstly, Candreva didn't flop the last time he was with us, infact he was one our shining lights in what was generally a dull season. He showed some brilliance and creativity. I was surprised when we didn't sign him permanently.

Secondly, our midfield is set as it is now, any further signing for the midfield department would have to be a cover/ back up for any of our three midfield starters(il Principino, il metronome and king Arthur). Therefore players like candreva and Cigarini can be a quality back up for midfield.

candreva is 24 and has been in many clubs now, i think he needs to play, cuz as you said he got talent.

Forget Modric. I dont think he'll add that much more.

Get a TRUE quality CM. A specialist CM. None of this 'versatile player who can play everywhere' rubbish. We need a CM. Weve already got a few 'versatile players' thatll be enough. we NEED QUALITY!!

maybe marchisio is better, Camurria, but he is also one of the best in the world, so if we need one better than Marchisio, we are in trouble. We need more than 3 midfielders who is world class.

i think Modric is a great player, he can pass an shoot, he got vision and he got the right age. but he is not cheap.

All that is true. Modric is indeed a very good player. I didnt mean forget him because hes crap, I mean forget him because I see Modric as a AM not as a box-to-box midfielder (which is what I think we need more than an AM). I dont think Modric has the workrate nor the defensive qualities needed to be the box-to-box type player.

saying that, ill tell you where I see Modric at home is in the middle of a 4-2-3-1. No really in a true 4-3-3.

Defense: Davide Santon, Francesco Pisano.

Midfield: Ever Banega, Radja Nainggolan.

Attack: Sebastian Giovinco, Giuseppe Rossi.

Not that flashy but pretty solid in my eyes. Pisano is pretty versatile, solid and energetic right-back and would fit perfectly in Conte's plans. Santon is doing really, really great for Newcastle and if he keeps performing like this, then I see no reason why shouldn't we try to sign him.

Midfield: Banega in my eyes is the only one who could replace Pirlo. Class, class player, still young and improving. Nainggolan, we already know the case about him. Would be a luxury for us to have such a quality player as back-up.

As for the attack, Giovinco is doing really good with Parma and as we already know Conte wants him back. If he keeps playing hard to get though and wont let down of his ego then we should consider other options. Rossi is a personal favorite of mine. His price-tag wont be a problem anymore as Villareal are in horrific form this season and will be in desparate need of cash since they wont be playing in Europa nor Champions League next season. His injury concerns me a bit though, we will see how he does when he returns in April. Other players that I like for this spot is Jovitec and Benzema who I really like but I believe he wouldn't leave Madrid for any other club.

Don't forget that we have some talented youngsters in Giandonato, Pasquato, Boniperti and half of Immobile out on-loan.
