I can overlook facial animations because RPGs are usually bad at it anyway.

But animations during actual gameplay nah I can't hang with that.

That doesn't mean anything btw, a lot of writers leave in the middle of development because they are no longer needed to finish the game.

It's quite the normal practice, BTW the guy IGN has for reviewing it says the story starts out really slow but gets really good the deeper you go.

I want to know a few things.....

Is the story good, is the quest design good and is those animations going to be fixed.

If I get those answered in a positive way I'll get it day 1, because the gameplay looks miles better for a Mass Effect game, exploration looks to be vastly improved and the RPG systems in terms of skill trees looks great.

Microtransactions in an offline, single player game? Or is there a multiplayer mode, as well? If it wasn't for microtransactions and friggin endless revenge mode players in For Honor, I'd probably still be playing that game

Deus Ex MD had micro transactions for a single player title only, it was retarded, like you could buy a skill point for a buck (or 2 can't remember) to upgrade one of your abilities, not that you can't get skill points in game but it was stupid.

I don't mind microtransactions, as long as it's only for changing the aesthetics of in-game items. I mean, I certainly don't endorse those either, but they aren't that bad. Progression speed boosts and direct upgrades are a huge NO, though I've seen so many people on the internet attempt to defend microtransactions that boost progression speed, but they clearly haven't played games where the game was intentionally designed to have free players progress agonisingly slow, and boost the effectiveness of end-game equipment, in order to promote their capitalism

I think the concept behind For Honor is brilliant, but then Ubisoft opted to save money by not providing dedicated servers in a game that's based on tactics and precision. Oh yeah, and their P2P servers are horse shit. And then, they add a "revenge mode" to the game, which can be gained almost constantly on higher levels, which in turn creates a huge gap between low level and high level players (reachable early on through spending cash on equipment and upgrades). The fundamental concept of the game is effectively broken by how the game's designed. It's laughable and frustrating I don't know if you still play the game, but if you ever run into a player with full revenge gear on, just run away or stab him/her in the back while he's focusing his revenge mode on someone else. Ubisoft has become my most hated game publisher, they're worse than EA. End of rant.

what do we expect the metacritic to be? I'm thinking 83-87

but I also expect 90% of the reviews to be half finished..we get far too many of them nowadays with lengthy games, reviewers getting the game later than usual and basing it on like 50% of the game smh.

I also won't trust any of them even if they are giving it large ratings because Dragon Age Inquisition was being touted as GOTY by most publications
