I think he is.

Quality wise, I think he might be, but he doesnt bring it consistently enough for me.

The spells of hot and cold are not cool anymore, he is supposed to be in his prime.

Vision, various different ways to get goals, other than Cristiano and the Barca 3, nobody is clearly more talented.

I disagree.....I think there are a few who are clearly more talented.

He's a top 5 striker maybe....there's no scenario in which he's a top 5 player.

But Wait I can think of 2 other players who have those same attributes and is by far more talented.

1 of themis legit= Ibra

1 of them is my opinion= Benzema.

I still think you aren't allowing enough room for guys outside attack like Schweinstiger and Vidic.

Rooney is class. It's just inconsistency that does not allow him to be a top 5 player.

Ibra? No, he aint. He might (or might not) be more talented, but certainty not clearly, at least for me.

Benzema and Ibra at least for me are clearly more talented.

I can make the list with Aguero and Balotelli and Suarez and stuff but I don't think I'll get an inch there so I won't bother but I really don't think he has all that talent.

I think his talent is overrated and the work he's done to become the complete player he is is underrated.

Not at the moment, there is quite a bit of players that are at a similar level to him or higher.
From the EPL alone:
Van Persie, Silva, Aguero, Suarez and more are all playing at a similar level.

When you throw in the likes of Benzema, Ribery, Ronaldo, Xavi, Messi, Iniesta, Fabregas, Ibrahimovic. At the moment it's difficult to say whose top 10 as they are all on top form and probably in better shape then Rooney.

And out of form Tevez, Sneijder, Gerrard, Robben etc etc are similar or better then Rooney as well imo
