Who is better? You decide.

Vorm is great but this is Al-Habsi vs Krul.

About that, it is common knowledge that Sir Alex wanted Ali at United but due to work permit issues he couldn't join.
Shame really Ali would have been a CL winner and multiple PL medallist while Van Der Sar would have continued a life of mediocrity at Fulham.

Re: The Ultimate battle: Ali Al-Habsi vs Tim Krul
I dont agree Vorm has been better, but its alot closer than Al Habsi is LOL
I knew you would use the Talksport thing against me
Highlights Battle Eh?
Debut at 17 was MOTM
Unfortunatly there is'nt a 2011/12 compilation but if there was Al-Shitsi would be eaten alive

Re: The Ultimate battle: Ali Al-Habsi vs Tim Krul
I picked Al Habsi, partly because I think he actually might be better, but what put me over the edge is my buying of him for my FIFA 11 team, so I don't know if that's legitimate.
I have seen Krul pull off some absolute stunners this year though, and haven't seen enough of Al Habsi. But from what I watch I think they are pretty close.
That being said...
That beauty of a quote makes me reconsider my vote. I love cats.
I can see this one saying...
"why did you pick al habsi? Why?"
Ugh, you two are tearing my heart in half right now. Screw you guys.

Krul said he would chose saving his cat over his GF if his house caught fire....

Is this thread legit?? Tim is miles better tbh, although Al is a really epic shot stopper but even Gomes is/was so yeah.

Lol.. what are you on about? Valdes is perfect for Barcelona. He has helped us win many games.
I wouldn't even take Neuer over him

Don't forget that Messi (albeit in the Argentine team) got marked out of the game at the WC by Schweinsteiger and no one of the highly rated Argentine attack scored against Neuer. So one never knows ^^kiranr wrote:

Argentina were almost playing 4-2-4 in that match. It was the worst match i have every seen. 3 or 4 players crowded Messi all match long, and that was it really.

Marked out?
Messi playing in the midfield role that day, was by far their best player. Several times he by passed the german midfield and even the backline yet simply did not end of scoring due to the complete and utter lack of support. The german backline does incite credit for holding them off but keep in mind this was an Argetina lead by a manager who was the epitome of incompetence.

FFS Al-Habsi > Neuer
If Neuer played for Wigan he'd have conceded way more goals than Ali has.

Well, I remember what was written in the media before that match - practically everybody thought that the highly rated Argentine attack line would score the hell out of the German team. So having them kept to zero goals was a feat in itself.Arquitecto wrote:Messi playing in the midfield role that day, was by far their best player. 1. Neuer played for Schalke behind an abysmal defense and still brought them into the CL semiZealous wrote:FFS Al-Habsi > Neuer

Oh by all means it was a superb feat despite critics overestimating the Argentine potency.
But I only was commenting on Messi's performance.
And ffs LOL-Habsi is better than Neuer.
