Lionel Messi wrote:Pato for 50 million is a joke, he scored 9 goals this year. He's worth 20m at best, and that's pushing it imo
Milan won't sell a guy for 20 milion when they bought him for that price .... he's as much of a joke as Sanchez is .

Re: Pato to PSG?
Sanchez was half of what pato is being rumored to be bought at, not going to contribute to your thread derail attempt though as I don't want to see this in the RB section.pUsHa wrote:Lionel Messi wrote:Pato for 50 million is a joke, he scored 9 goals this year. Re: Pato to PSG?
Sanchez cost 37 million.
I'm not gonna comment as to how much he's worth but Pato is a really talented player.......but he's injury prone so you never know.
IMO it's not in Milan's best interest to sell him at this low point in his career....he will return to form and his price will rise.
Has exquisite technique and pace and can easily become WC in the future.

Ya he scored a hattrick against Tottenham last season in Champion's league round of 16 and got Milan the ever so needed victory and avoided them the humiliation in the hands of Tottenham
(one of several hundred examples)

Re: Pato to PSG?
I do think if Pato stopped partying and actually taking care of his body he would be less injury prone.
Hopefully Ancelotti can work on his problems. I personally think this is a great deal becouse if Pato can overcome his injury problems he would actually become a great player.

I understand that between Cassano and Robinho (now Boateng) he has a tough time getting play time tho. Moving away can do him some good, i wouldnt be happy with such competition.
Yes, last season he was perhaps more prolific than even the immense Ibra. His inability to stay fit always hits him hard and perhaps at a new club, a new training regime, new medical staff would help him avoid this and keep fit while in his best form allowing him to become one of the best strikers in the world.
Maybe a move would be the best thing for him
And for the people saying he is overrated................

I think that people are saying he's overrated because of the comparisons he's drawn in the past, not specifically a comment on his own individual abilities.
Balotelli specifically has continued to develop while Pato has remained somewhat stunted by injuries etc...so in peoples minds the fact that just a while ago fans were almost unanimously claiming that Pato was both better and had a higher ceiling than Balotelli. Now with his own stagnant form and Balotelli's recent success it's easy to see why this image of "Pato is overrated" has been contrived, simply because the arguments of the past now seem so ridiculous that the fact that at one point they even took place creates a certain suspicion over his actual quality.

Re: Pato to PSG?
Pato seems to have limited vision and passing abilities, which makes him hard to play with up front, specially in a team like Milan with (basically)no midfield to help out with smooth passing, and bring the ball to Pato in front of goal where he is great. At this Milan team it is very important to have good possession-skills upfront, even Robinho has better technical skills than Pato, but sadly not in front of goal.
We need quality midfielders more than we need Pato, sadly, and if we cant have both because of financial reasons, then he must be sacrificed.

Re: Pato to PSG?
It would be sad to see Pato go, but if we invest in some replacement players it will be worthwhile for 50m.

Was wondering who the "big" transfer Arry will go after. he ALWAYS goes after some one big and doesnt land them, but I was wondering if he was probably thinking of going after Pato

It's getting ridiculous.
What's happening is that since Ancelotti is about to take over, they are planning a big signing (besides other players) to join in at the same time. There is a shortlist, on which you have Tevez, Kaka, Hulk, and now Pato. One of them is likely to sign for Paris this winter, and PSG has entered talks with all parties.
K thanks. It just seems ridiculous how many rumors there are.

Re: Pato to PSG?
Milan surely won't sell him?
Cassano is out for a long time, he may not be the same player.
Pato is much better than Robinho as a striker.
I think it will depend on if they get Tevez or not.
