Current Gerrard is no better than Inler, however I agree that past/prime Gerrard is one amazing player.

according to uefa coefficients , EPL sits on top
should you not be ashamed that a tactically horrible league is on top of europe?
surely you should

do you even know anything about english football.. they have always produce technical mids
tony currie, charlie george, bobby more, bobby charlton, dennis law and many more
oh and that stereotype reminds me of 2006 champions league, when arsenal got Juventus, Madrid and Villareal
everyone wa slike " english teams lack technique".. we all know how those games turned out to be
oh and rememberr Milan vs Arsenal in 2008 UCL?
yes they tried playing this stereotype BS, and we all know how it worked for them. Arsenal went to San Siro, with foriegn technique mixed with british speed, and milan could not handle
How was it British speed and it was Henry, Pires, Fabregas playing.

"Past his best" Gerrard destroyed Napoli.
Hardly played any football lately so can't really judge him but he's been amazing since Kenny's been back in his deeper role.

Not hitting the back of the net is screwing over Liverpool. We play arguably the best football in the league.

Re: English football lacks technical ability and tactics
Definitely not worth 15m pounds though.Anyways he has time on his side and i'm just being too judgemental
He's an alright player but nothing special
And what Pool needs right now is special players.

Unless you mean a special finisher, I do not agree.

Re: English football lacks technical ability and tactics
if the EPL was more technical (if by technical you mean better dribblers) then there would be more Argentines and Brasilians. Tactically, I would say they don't think in terms of possession but rather in "get it the fuh out" when teams are in a bad position.
For the people who keep harping about Arsenal's win over Barca: the game was lopsided...arsenal was getting raped. they got two lucky goals in less than 10 minutes. They couldn't go toe for toe with Barca, and these would be the two most "technical" sides of each league.
not saying it's bad, but there is a reason it has as many african and eastern european players as it does instead of latinos

Did you see la Copa América? That was a tactical grindfest with very little flair. Latinos are much less flashy than before but much more tactically sound. It's part of football, everyone is more cautious these days.

arsenal tactis vs Barcelona were
1) let erm hold the ball
2) press erm
3) when you press counter erm from sides (nasri and walcott)
4) the Wilshere factor( steal the ball and start counter from middle)
I *bleep* HATE WHEN PEOPLE DOWNPLAY ARSENAL'S WIN
more proof, that footballs fans would never understand tactics in a million years
the amount on eplphobia shown here is just *bleep* disgusting, like I said earlier
" is it our fault that EPL gets marketed better than other leagues " NOOOOOOOO
quit the hate and don't watch epl all together
