Ramos and sometimes arbeloa are our only good defenders. Pepe and marcelo are way too undisiplined. Plus we give way too much room to opponents for shots and that's something that barca doesn't give to the opposition. Trust me its way harder shooting a good shot when you have someone breathing down your neck.

P.s. LM Khaled kinda started the whole valdes vs casillas thing. I don't like to compare the 2 because when it comes down to it they are spanish and they are 2 great keepers

Yeah i think so too. Carier vise Valdes has some catching up to du, but currently, Valdes is better, and for Barcas gameplay he is actually perfect.

Real talk, if we count who had made the most mistakes....Iker might have double Valdes since Pep arrived.

It is not just mistakes, it is also the shots saved percentage. And RM cannot complain about their defense when we played half season with makeshift defense and having one of the best seasons in terms of received goals.

VV is not at his best in this season, too much stupid mistakes. He was better in 09-10 and 10-11, in this season he is not that good.

Paraguay legend Jose Luis Chilavert has lauched a scathing attack on Diego Maradona, saying the Al Wasl coach 'knows nothing' about the game.

The 46-year-old's comments come in the wake of Maradona's criticism of Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes, whom he described as a 'bad custodian'.

"For me, Valdes is the best in the world," Chilavert told COM Radio. "When Barca need calm, he transmits that.

"He also has great capacity and handling."

Chilavert, who retired from football in 2004, went on to slam Maradona, insisting that the Al Wasl coach is not an example in the game.

"Maradona knows nothing about football," he added. "Footballers have to look after themselves and not get into drugs.

"He has done a lot of damage to football. He has even spoken ill of Pope John Paul II, which is why he is exiled in the United Arab Emirates."

Yes it can be argued that he was at fault for the second as well. He started coming and realized halfway there that he wasn't going to get there. Leaving him in what has seemingly become his favourite spot, no man's f*cking land - for the umpteenth time this season.

first one was partially his fault though.

Goalkeeper one on one with someone else I find it hard to say it was his fault at all.

Always going to be the defense's fault in this situation.

Perhaps he could have handled it better but to say it's his fault is going way too far.

He should not have hesitated once he came off the line, to be honest.

Bit harsh to blame him on the first one. I mean, it was a difficult save to make. He might have held on but just couldnt.

2nd one he didnt come out fast enough.

Valdes shouldn't have come out at all, Ronaldo can easily round him with sheer speed, like he showed in the last Clasico.

If Valdes stayed in goal, Ronaldo would've had to shoot at the far post from a tough angle, far more saveable I would say.
