so Floyd is fighting in 'MMA' for Rizin (which is ran by the guy who owned PRIDE, which the UFC still hasn't been able to surpass at its peak, 90K sold out arenas and better production, still the pinnacle of MMA as a spectacle IMO)

pretty crazy, of course the rules haven't been stipulated ye tbut I can guarantee it won't allow takedowns kicking or knees. So basically a boxing match. Hes fighting a legit Japanese fighter. Some undefeated kickboxer (who Floyd kinda dwarfs) and has KO'd boxing champs before. it's gonna obviously be completely in Floyd's favor but still pretty crazy he's doing this, for Rizin at least, I bet it's basically a boxing match with MMA gloves, that's the rumour anyway.

the owner of Rizin is def wealthy but there's no way he could pay Floyd 100m or w.e, rumour is Floyd now owns a stake in Rizin or something. Really curious to see where the money is coming from.

PRIDE were the king of promos mate. Rizin are pretty decent with it, I hope they go hard. Not in the sense of having them beef going back and forth on the mic but they used to do vignettes and shit like WWE back in the day. Need to do it again now and capitalize on the publicity.

That was fast. If you read his Instagram post he details how he was mislead by RIZIN into thinking this was going to be a highly paid spectacle with a special ruleset put on for a few select wealthy men, not a sanctioned fight.

He claims he was basically lied to and then surprised at the press conference. A RIZIN PR stunt.

The weight cut was bad. The worst I’ve seen probably. He looks absolutely drained at the weigh in and still unhealthy today.

They need to regulate this shit, it’s dangerous and makes the fight quality worse.

Never went out and was not wobbling when he got up to argue. 3 seconds is an exaggeration...especially considering the ref jumped on/over him.

Also not sure how you mean about the weight cut. Are you just judging by how TJ looked?
