Re: The Cex Appreciation Thread
People keep saying Cesc moved forward or moved left in the second half and Iniesta moved center?

I dont know about the drawings.
But first half he played in midfield and Iniesta played out wide.
Second half Iniesta dropped into midfield and Cesc would cover the space Iniesta vacated.

I dont know how accurate it is but owned
Fab got so much stick cause he playing for Barca where effeciency needs to go with style, his stats is good for a forward or midfield, Pep probably still try to figure out what to with him, love that he puts him as forward though, just show u how flexible he is to get the best out of the not so ideal.
Still agree with dnmac, he did what he's set out to do, score goals, the mifield in him will come in time.

Re: The Cex Appreciation Thread
If Barca wanted a forward, they should have signed one instead of hounding Arsenal for years about Cesc just because of their self-fabricated belief that they deserved to have him. However, Cesc is a great player, and he is statistically efficient no matter where he plays. You will all see how good he is eventually...

Spanish lampard i would give him that
honestly some people just dont know anything, what a stupid comment. let me ask you a question, when was the last time cesc played CM? and how would he suck when he is up againt mediocre midfielders in spain, who does cesc face bar RM? villareal? valencia? LOOOOOL pleaase
Perhaps you didnt see the match.
He played CM the first half.It was the main reason we were so poor in the first half.
He went to the left,Iniesta drops into midfield,we play great again.
And he has played CM plenty of times for us.Generally plays poorly. Its when he plays further up that his play improves and he scores all the goals.
As a CM Thiago>> Cesc.
when was the last time he played that position for arsenal? if you wanted a CM why didnt you buy one? cesc has nearly always play ACM for arsenal THATS HIS POSITION, so why would you guys (other barca fans not you alex) be complaining when he is not playing in his preferred position? ACM and CM are not the same.... mole and other barcafans needs to stop complaining because without fabregas barca would be in a worse position this season as nobody else is scoring goals for barca bar messi

Re: The Cex Appreciation Thread
Ofcourse REWB thats why i have been preaching for months that Barca mus'nt sign him , he is not the midfielder to replace Xavi or anyone in midfield for that matter.....
If he becomes sort of a forward for Barca whose job is to play the final pass or get on the end of passes and scores goals then fine because he is World Class at that.
But a dominating CM he is not and never will be he doesnt have the correct skillsets for it.

He's the perfect midfielder to play at the top of the diamond in barca's 343...not quite as good of a fit in a normal 433

Re: The Cex Appreciation Thread
If barca wanted a short term Xavi replacement Madrid is the only player that could fit. Cesc is an AM. The guy looked out of hismdepthnin the games he has played cm for Barca.

Re: The Cex Appreciation Thread
Again? when did he rape Madrid before?
He was great tonight no question, but his inclusion causes Iniesta, Sanchez and Messi to play out of position which pisses me off.
Still does'nt do the things he should be doing and goes missing far too often.
Improving tho.

Re: The Cex Appreciation Thread
Let's see...... Does'nt know when and when not to press, gives away the ball needlessly far too often........
Do those things and i'll leave him alone aswell as not going missing during games, needs to improve his work rate aswell.
Might seem mighty high standards but those are what is required of a Barca midfielder.
Iniesta, Xavi, Thiago and Busquets do all these things.

He wasn't that great. Everyone played well in our team, Cesc too, but he was one of the most invisible players.
