Share of BRI - The players will receive between 49 and 51 percent of revenues, depending on annual growth.

-Extend & Trade Deals are allowed (the Carmelo Anthony Rule).

-Full MLE - Teams above the salary cap but below the Luxury Tax will be able to offer four-year mid-level exception contracts to free agents each season.

-Cap Room MLE - A new $2.5 million exception will be available to teams that go blow the salary cap, then use all of their cap room to sign free agents. Once they are back above the cap, they will be able to use the new exception instead of being limited to filling out their rosters with players on minimum contracts.

-Rookie salary scale and veteran minimum salaries will stay the same as they were last season.

-Qualifying offers to restricted free agents will become “significantly” improved. The time for a team to match an offer to a restricted free agent is reduced from 7 days to 3.

-The prohibition on luxury tax-paying teams from executing sign-and-trade deals was loosened, although the freedom to execute those types of deals will still be limited.

-Both sides will have the option to opt out of the 10-year deal after six years.

-Team salary minimum is 75% in first year, increasing to 90% in third year through 10th year. (per Chris Broussard on ESPN heard by Darth_Federer)

Also, Ric Bucher is saying NBA will go to 2 year rule, but most think it won't go in effect this year. Which means the 2012 class will still have Drummond, Davis, Gilchrist, Beal, Teague, Miller, etc. Honestly though I hope it doesn't go into effect this class because as much as I'd love to have Drummond here for 2 years, Kentucky(probably UNC too) would be fvckin loaded, especially if they got Muhammed. Imagine a starting lineup of Teague, Muhammed, Gilchrist, Poythress, Davis.

Anyways though #NBABACK

I wonder if Brandon Roy will be waived, it's a possibility, and a number of teams will be after him(even with his health issues).

Edit: Also Maximum deals can't be offered during a sign-and-trade deal, which means we won't see D12 or CP3 traded midseason.

He's a good dude, met him briefly at the UConn co-op when I was a Junior(his Freshmen year). He wasn't a star yet then but still you could tell he was a down-to-earth person.

It sucks in the commercial though how they can't say UConn, lol. UConn's a Nike school, so I'm sure that's why.

This is honestly a great deal for both teams.

Paul is the better PG without doubt, but I don't know if the Hornets will get a better player than Rondo from any other team. But like the writer pointed out, its going to be very hard to convince Paul to move where KG and Allen will soon start to decline fast.

But Howard is the bigger fish and I think its time for Celtics to make their move. With KG fading slowly away, the interior defence is a massive problem that needs fixing.

Howard would totally revitalize the organization and help them reach the level of the Heat and Bulls, but the problem is...who would they deal? You would expect Rondo to be in the deal for sure and maybe the likes of Jermaine O'Neal? Big Baby Davis?

Celtics are looking for a 3rd team to get involved to make the trade happen, I would love if it did happen but I'm skeptical.
