Pff, Jordi Alba would be a terrible replacement for Abidal. The lad is great going forward, but is a defensive liability and he is short too. We can have all the team under 1.80 or we will end up conceeding too much goals from set pieces.

I disagree mole.If a player of Hummels quality becomes available then we go for him.He is fabulous player,so sleek on the ball and seems a tailor made Barca CB.
A Pique-Hummels partnership might not work but what about a Hummels-Masch partnership.

Technically your right, but for me he is far too similar to Pique imo to work in a highline they both are quite slow and i see Barca getting ripped apart on the counter with 2 slow players in the backline.....

Hummels-Masch will be great but tbh the go to CB's will always be Pique + one other and that player has to compliment Pique perfectly like Puyol does......

For me the long term Puyol replacement ( because this is obviously what this is ) has to have pace to get across the ground, great in the tackle and imo he doesnt need to be technically perfect because Puyol isnt......

This is no slight on Hummels as a player i think hes a wonderful player who i enjoy watching greatly i just dont think he will suit Pique at all.

Get some guy for somewhere around 12 or less if not get Thiago Silva though Mascherano looks better and better every match he plays as centre back thats why it is best if we do get a guy for less than 12 simply becaus to give Javier more of a go.

Villa isn't as good on the wings and Messi has the striker spot for himself. Kind of silly we got Villa if were planning on using Messi as a false 9. At this point we need to be getting fast, technical wingers to play with Messi (we should got Aguero instead of Villa, imo)

Plus Villa is almost 30, so that much money for him at this point....might be hard to pass up. We could turn around and invest that cash in Hummels or another defender

I doubt Liverpool will splash that much on a player that's on the wrong side of 30. But I've been wrong before.

As for Hummels, I like him but..
- He would only come at a premium.
- We already have a ball playing CB (Pique), Two if you count Fontas.
- He seems destined to wear the red of Bayern.

It probably won't happen. Im sure that was just a rumor that Liverpool would spend 30 million on Villa. This Villa-Messi rift is absurd at most. Don't won't to have another Ibra scandal

I could see Keita leaving, if Affelay was healthy I think it would of guaranteed it.

Then again Pep seems to have some man crush on Keita

Keita holds importance in our team, specially from the physical aspect of the game, it is not sympathy nor man crush that kept him high in Pep's eyes. Unless Keita wants out, I don't see him going anywhere. I also personally don't see any relationship between Affelay and Keita.
