Love Money though will go down as a GOAT for sure imo
I think he'll retire 50-0. Its unlikely as he's getting older, but his will and pride will push him through it.

^Exactly, there's no way he's got 7 fights left. He'd be roughly 40-41 by then.

Before the Cotto fight, Floyd said he thought he had 5 fights left in him, even that may be a little optimistic

Yeah, its going to be like 6 months between fights, given he is 35 and I doubt he has any intrest in going on for 40.

If he fights Pacman, it might be his last.

Seriously, Pacman and maybe (if he wins then yes, if he loses then probably no) Tim Bradley are his only two real options.

I guess you could through in Saul Alverez and Khan, but both arent ready right now and by the time they might be he will probably be too old. The last thing I want to see (and him too) is Khan beating him up because he too old rather than too good (like Khan did to Barrera).

Haye V Chisora July 14
http://www.espn.co.uk/espn/sport/story/149883.html

What do you guys make of this rubbish? 2 idiots going at it to make themselves look even more stupid. Think Haye will take it, but would love to see both get some nasty cuts in the process.

Also, Khan-Peterson fight in serious doubt.

I think it will be a decent watch, I wouldnt be surprised if Chisora actually won. I still dont think Haye can take a punch.

Haye more likely to win, but I wouldnt be shocked.

WBC junior middleweight beltholder Saul "Canelo" Alvarez will defend his crown against southpaw former two-time welterweight titleholder Paul Williams on Sept. 15 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on a network to be determined, Golden Boy Promotions President, Oscar De La Hoya, informed RingTV.com.

Do you guys agree that this is Canelo's toughest opponent yet?

Yes, but I still think Canelo will win.

The only issue I could see if Williams is a high volume puncher (100 a round) while Canelo is low volume and picks his punches. Therefore, Williams workrate (missing or not) can wow the judges and if he is to win, I imagine it would be this way via points.

However, Williams isnt defensively strong at all...in fact, he is terrible. I can see Canelo ripping his head off with a left hook.

Canelo's left hook is the best in the buisness, at perhaps any weight class...I think he may just knock him out with it.

As for Bute, im stunned..Froch took him apart, easily. The pressure was amazing.

I always found Bute too easy too easy to hit and perhaps should of saw it coming, but I imagined he would of been slick and used his feet much better.

I also just realised it kills Bute - Ward, which looked like a likely fight.

Ward and Dawson would be fantastic though.

Anyone hear Froch talk about fighting over Kessler than Ward?

Basically said i prefer to fight Kessler because he's a warrior unlike Ward....

Translated: I cant beat Ward so i will try and have a crack at Kessler instead.

As for Pacman and Bradley.... it wont even last 6 rounds lol shows how little i rate Bradley.

I dsilike Froch I have to say. As a fighter, I have no problems with him..but his personality, even for a boxer, annoys me.

Ward isnt a warrior because he didnt you hit him lool

Anyways, Kassler knocked out Danny Green in 4 rounds couple Saturdays ago...he looks partially over his injury problems.

Pacman hasnt looked good in ages though, are you sure he has that in him? I can see Bradley at least making it akward.

Nah he has'nt but i just rate Bradley ridiculously low its possible he will make it difficult and take it to a decision but i feel Pacquaio will blow him away....

Perhaps iam letting my releatively low opinion of Bradley cloud my judgement but it is what it is.

In any case i cant see Bradley doing enough to even make it close and thus the Floyd v Pacquaio talk will start all over again.

Fair enough lol

I dont see anyway Brad can win, dont think he has the punching power to stop him and if Marquez is anything to go by..your not actually alllowed to beat Pacman on points.

BTW, did you see the Dwyer video on Floyd? How he might retire?

It was more about possible fights for Floyd and those who would be very hard for him.

All of those, intrest me more than a fight with Pacman..especially if Pacman doesnt look good again on June 5th.

Yeah i did and tbh i do think if Floyd cant fight Pacquaio then he should retire there is nothing out there for him he's done it all and nothing to prove....

Also when Bradley wins on points you will remember this Laughing

Those fights do interest me, but other than money i do see little reason for Floyd to continue to fight atleast if i was Floyd anyway.

Of course as a fan i want to see him continue.

LOL

If Marquez couldnt win that fight on points, I just cant believe it right now.

Yeah, I wouldnt even mind if Floyd retires...35, done everything there is to do. Obviously, I would love for him to shut people up and whoop Pacman but to me it looks further and further away.

The other fights, all young, hungry...BIG risk, little reward.

Other than Martinez, that could enchance Floyd's legacy even more..but I think Martinez is too big and if Martinez did come down to 150/155 he would be too drained.

Did you guys hear about Paul Williams? Sad

Boxer Paul Williams was left paralyzed after a Sunday motorcycle crash near Atlanta, and doctors are unsure whether the 30-year-old will be able to walk again.

Williams' manager told the Associated Press on Monday that Williams severed his spinal cord and that he cannot move from the waist down.

"He's in very good spirits, though," said George Peterson, Williams' trainer. "He still believes he's going to fight again."

Williams crashed while trying to avoid an oncoming car after trying to maneuver away from another car in a lane next to him. Williams, of Aiken, S.C., was in the area to attend his brother's wedding on Sunday afternoon.

Williams' scheduled fight against Saul "Canelo" Alvarez on Sept. 15 in Las Vegas has been canceled, Peterson said.

“Right now, there's no thinking about any fights right now except for the fight that's facing Paul right now — to get movement back in his body and keep the movement that's above his waist,” said Dan Goossen, Williams' promoter.

The 6-foot-1 Williams (41-2, 27 knockouts) defined himself as an active punching southpaw who could fight anywhere between welterweight and middleweight.

He struggled to get a fight as one of the sport’s most avoided boxers after scoring a unanimous decision over Mexico’s Antonio Margarito in 2007 at Home Depot Center in Carson, then rallying from a surprising loss to Carlos Quintana to knock him out in the first round of their rematch.

Williams, who was a world welterweight and interim world super-welterweight champion, beat current middleweight champion Sergio Martinez by majority decision in 2009.

In their rematch on Nov. 20, 2011, Martinez beat Williams with a second-round knockout.

Peterson hopes Williams' boxing career isn't over.

“I want to think along with him, 'cause I've seen him do things in his boxing career that shouldn't have happened,” Peterson told the Associated Press. “We want his fans to know he's going to be all right and he'll be back,” Peterson said. “He said if he wasn't going to be boxing, he's going to be a standup comedian.”

Awful story, gutted for the guy, he was a role model for all fighters.
