Look at Xabi do a full 360, and roll around the floor, screaming & dying in pain, get stretchered off, and come back making marauding runs.
OH WAIT NONE OF THAT HAPPENED, and there was ALOT more contact. Lol.

Plenty of people didnt ignore what he was saying, and posted material that is evidence enough, but he is ignoring them, and so are you.
Talk about critical thinking right,

Btw, is that all you guys can do is -rep me? give me something to work with here, 'its easy' and 'alves can do it' mean nothing
are you blind? there was contact, but not pepe on alves. the contact occurred like this: pepe->ball->alves
or do you not believe that force can travel through an object?

then how do you explain the videos i posted on the first page? they were clearly edited by somebody

LOL @ Someone just went through all my posts in here and gave me negative rep on most of them.
And I'm pretty sure it was everest1.

didn't someone already explain that? pretty sure someone did
For the incident, Pepe came charging, but no contact was made. It`s human instinct for you to avoid a dangerous action, which is what Alves did with the spin. Maybe it`s me, but Alves was going straight at the ball. So he didn`t exactly spin the opposite direction. He just spin side way. Also you can kinda see the tip of his foot still on the ground when he started to spin

isn't the rep system for giving + rep when you agree with something a - when you dont?FilipeFerreira wrote:LOL @ Someone just went through all my posts in here and gave me negative rep on most of them.

i see your point and actually agree with it, im definitely not arguing that. I'm just wondering why the videos used by punto pelota were edited? clearly they were, and if there was never any contact made then why were they edited to begin with?

when your giving out way more negative votes than positive, and have double the negative votes than you have posts.
Especially when your going through a thread and just giving negative votes to EVERY single little post.
That is something called abusing the system I believe.

Bros, seriously try doing it yourself. Try changing the direction of your kick while in mid-air and see if it's nearly as smooth as Alves makes it look. I can't do it. Maybe some of you guys have experience in ballet but I suspect you guys can't either.
And it was a red ffs. If Alves had been injured would we even be having this conversation? Is that what it takes? Pepe's leg had no business being at the height of Alves' knee.

Alves kicks the ball. Pepe does the same, although with his entire body weight from above. The force of Pepe's impact on the ball makes Alves' leg rebound. Alves' leg swings in the opposite direction of the ball due to the impact.
What's so hard to understand?
If you honestly believe that the slight touch Pepe might have made with his studs on his shin pads made THAT much of an impact then you're delusional.

The rep system is more for doing things you approve of or don't. If you disagree with someone you shouldn't -rep them, but if you think they're being idiotic then you should. Likewise, if you think someone has an opinion you agree with you shouldn't +rep, but if they make an especially good point or an angle you haven't considered before, you should.

Re: Dani Alves Impression
I think a better question would be how did Pepe "not" injure Alves if he actually made contact.
The most fairest call I'd give, if I were the ref, would be to give out a Yellow to Pepe for making a reckless tackle and a Yellow to Alves for simulation.
Simple.

Re: Dani Alves Impression
Nobody claimed that Alves changed the direction of his leg himself. What we claim is that he, after the impact with the ball, exaggerated the force of it and swung his leg further back than it naturally would.BarrileteCosmico wrote:Bros, seriously try doing it yourself. Lol that's an even more ridiculous claim. What's the momentum of a ball? It can't imagine it being enough to change Alves' leg direction.

Re: Dani Alves Impression
You can see the ball hit alves and send his foot back. Even if that wasn't enough, he could have easily jumped up with his one foot still on the ground and given himself the momentum to go spinning. like a reverse jumping roundhouse kick

Alves hits the ball -> Legs go backwards.
Repeated for comprehension.
Alves hits the ball -> Legs go backwards.
Are you suggesting that his legs grew a pair of wings when Pepe slightly brushed his shin pads AFTER the contact to the ball was made which, initially, sent his leg flying backwards?
Watch the video and let me know.

it is pepes force on the ball that changed the momentum of alves' leg.
simply: pepe's force (in this situation) was greator than alves' force, when they both colided with the ball pepe won.

Lol, I didnt know alfred was physicist. Its pretty funny because I didnt see that argument in one media source. Maybe we should implement an MIT/Goallegacy collaboration to get to the bottom of this.

Oh my, how opinions change when someone sees the same thing happen to both teams.
Had my dad litterally contradicting himself every 15 seconds with this vid.
Oh, what fandom does to people.
