Wasted Talents/Potential
What players looked like they would be world beaters but ended up not being.
1. Adriano (Ex-Inter, not the Barca one)
2. Freddy Adu
3. Joe Cole

Somehow I just knew Freddy wasn't going to be a world beater.

He did look like something special when he was first exposed to the world though.

Re: Wasted Talents/Potential
Ricardo Quaresma
Denílson de Oliveira Araújo (the awe inspiring dribbler)
Ronaldo 9 (As great as he was after the first injury he never played at more than 50% of what his potential eluded to...)
Dinho (If only he took better care of himself)
Lebohang Mokoena (South Africans will know that this is one of the great sporting wastes. Too much too soon, Cheese Boy could of been the man to lead us forward...)

Yeah, I always thought he had so much potential but was a bad decision maker... He suffered from having massive talent and as a result never working on his game to maybe add a bit more...

For me R9 is the best ever. If that's not fulfilling potential then I don't know what is.

Re: Wasted Talents/Potential
I always thought Le Tissier was no so much wasted, but more a case of being wholly unrecognised as a player. 162 goals in 443 games for Southampton is a pretty awesome return, especially since he played as a AM
The fact that he played only eight games for England is quite frankly a travesty

Anderson, to a certain extent that is. I mean from a flair-tastic #10 attacking mid, to a central mid EPL "brute" .

Re: Wasted Talents/Potential
Ryan Babel... Rafa should have pulled a Wenger and played him in the middle instead of placing him out on the wings. As you all know Wenger morphed Henry from winger to striker.
