I'm leaning towards the fact that it is a storyline, but I don't think Punk was supposed to go as far as he did.

Vince McMahon comes out and says CM Punk is fired. Cena says he wants to face CM Punk. They talk about some other stuff and then finally Vince McMahon reinstates CM Punk and says if Cena doesn't win then he's fired.

sigh, i used to watch it really regularly, but sort of lost interest a bit at the start of this yr and bearly watched RAW and watched only every 2nd or so smackdown, then edge retired and i havent watched an episode of anything since

I definitely had a period where I dropped off, but I've always maintained enough interest to follow things through.

Honestly the best thing we've ever seen the WWE churn out for 2011. Brilliantly done, and this shows why CM Punk is far superior to any heel on the roster right now..

RAW was really solid this time, I thought. They gave the fans what they want with HBK back dishing out Sweet Chin Musics, a good 5-minute match between Sin Cara and Bourne (we need more of this), a decent upper card tornado tag match.

Even the Del Rio vs. Show feud did something good today. I find the angle boring, but... Henry charging at Show through the steel cage was worth it.

Holy motherfu**er what a promo by Punk. There is a reason why the IWC scream that he is the best in the business. Everything he said was 100% true. He is the best wrestling wise, mic wise and even on commentary. He is the best heel in WWE since Evolution Triple H and I ain't exaggerating, he did not get the spotlight he deserved because WWE pushing jokes like Cena. Love how he mentioned Colt Cabana and Ring Of Honor, best promo since I don't know when, Stone Cold said that this is one of the best promos in WWE history. Thank god him being suspended is a storyline, and seeing the RAW spoilers Vnce has turned heel again. Something tells me he'll screw Cena at Summerslam giving Del Rio the win. Whether Punk stays or not doesn't matter anymore, he just carved himself as an immortal legend.

Agreed on all counts. It was a great show.

I thought Mark Henry knocking Big Show through the cage was going to be the memorable moment, but Punk made headlines all over.

It would have been the icing on the cake if he mentioned TNA, but I guess I can't be too greedy. It was interesting to hear the crowd response as the promo progressed, he received more cheers and claps (presumably from the IWC types in the crowd).

i think in the beginning only the IWC crowd was cheering him,but than almost everyone above the age of 12 began to cheer,and thats why he gave that comment:''those of you who are cheering me now...''
