Re: January Transfer Window 2012
I think our goal creating & scoring potential is pretty much restricted within Carroll (yet to hit form), Suarez (facing 8 match ban), Bellamy (too old) & Gerrard (just back from long lay-off).
The likes of Adam (too inconsistant), Shelvey (too young) and Kuyt & Maxi (too old) can't be expected to do the job every week.
There is a genuine lack of attacking threat is you consider we are in a five-way tussel for top-4 finish.

Re: January Transfer Window 2012
I would like to see a goal-threat winger come into the team at some point. A player in the mold of Flaurent Malouda could do wonders in taking the burden off of Suarez and Carroll to score.
Possible examples:
Iker Munian
Xherdan Sahqiri
Lukas Podoski
Marco Reus
Eden Hazard

Tbh i dont see 4/5 of them considering us. We got no CL

Roma have been linked with Guarin....They offered 8 mill but Porto want 12mill.......Comolli, u fat bastard, there's our chance, u better be watching mmmmkay. And 12mill is nada compared to what we've paid for Hendo, Carro and Downo mmmkay

You know, last summer I really hoping we would sign some one from German League. Not just Dortmund or Leverkusen, most of the teams have a core of talented young players.

I would've actually liked Renato Agusto but we splashed on Hendo and Downing aready so i don't see it happening.

Won't get a Bender brother.
Bent is growing on me. Only way I'd bring him in if he is bought without a player getting sold.

We should buy Yann M'Vila or Fernando Reges, Jorge Fucile, and Soldado.

Speaking after the 3-0 defeat by Manchester City, Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish says he won't be looking to buy a replacement for Luis Suarez after the club decided not to appeal against the striker's eight-match ban for racially abusing Patrice Evra.

Re: January Transfer Window 2012
We dont need a DM.Spearing is doing a fine job.And if we spend 15-20 on a DM like Bendter or M'Ville what exactly are we gone do with them when Lucas returns?
I would prefer to buy a clinical finisher or a good winger for that money. That would do us a world of good IMO

Rumours with Hoilett. Really hoping they're true. Fantastic prospect, and would be way more efficient than anyone else in our side as we have no other NATURAL right wingers.
Hoilett + Bent would be orgasmic.

Re: January Transfer Window 2012
Bent is good player, but I think he is some what over-rated. He will cost an insane amount of money and will be in & out with injury.
But yes, we do need a striker who will fill-in till Carroll hits form.
@BG: you can't expect to go half the season with just one DM. Specially when we are aiming top-4 and already trailing with our competitors.

I don't think Bent is moving anywhere, Villa paid some £20m for him only a year ago, they would not sell for less than that and no one's paying more than that.
I think we have to stick with Carroll and buy no striker. The man cost us £35m, for Pete's sake! Can't afford to buy another striker and put him ahead of Carroll in pecking order.
And I think we can go half a season with just Spearing. Lucas made 33 BPL appearances last season, so I don't see why we couldn't go half a season with one DM.

No way that's happening, why would Aston Villa sell him for the price they bought him for only a year ago? x)

On the fence regarding a move for Bent.
We're going to need a ton of beach balls at Anfield.

Re: January Transfer Window 2012
^ I too am on the fence regarding Bent andfee will be the biggest issue for me.We definitely need a goal scorer and u cant argue with his scoring record. But 20-25 mil for a 27 year old.I am not so sure.
So if we bought him hopefully he can bang in the goals.
@Ifthikar
Ya thats why i would prefer buying versatile player on cheap like Vertenghon(Ajax) who can cover DM CB as well as LB.Spending 20 mil on a DM will be pointless im my view.

I don't mind Bent, He is exactly the type of player we need.
But the fee does make a difference.

I'll support his ass if we buy him but i just hope to whatever high being there is to please not let this happen. He's about to turn 28 and spending anything over 10 mill on him is a loss in my eyes.
