Awww how nice. More ridiculous attacks on Abate... one of the best performing right backs in Italy this prior season. It's not all about assists. But then again... sure Maicon had more... but Maicon was a disaster defending. Abate is growing as a player, and his crossing did improve markedly during the season.
He's come a long way as a player.
Correct, one of the best. Not THE best. Thanks for pointing that out.
After summing up all the pros and cons, I actually rank him as the best.
Well ofcourse, some think he's the best in the world, who wouldn't agree? Its tobad the best player cant get a spot on the national team. Dosen't that seem odd to you?

Learn your history. PAOLO ROSSI. Ibrahimovic and Zambrotta were at Juventus prior to Milan so I don't see how they had nothing to do with the clubs...
So what? Grosso isn't great. He's way over the hill. I don't want former world cup winners for the sake of it. Shall we go try to sign Fabio Cannavaro now?
I thought you were referring to Giuseppe Rossi since you were talking about present day players. Not the past. You learn how to show some respect and be more specific.
Man are you serious ? Why would I say Giuseppe Rossi ? Did he start at Juventus and does he play for Milan ? My God man come on now.

No. It doesn't seem odd. Sometimes players don't get the call-ups they deserve.
Prandelli is wrong about it. Abate should get a call up over Maggio and Cassani. Cassani was downright bad in the friendly game.

We are talking about players still playing... not about the past. I don't care for anything you say. It's not relevant to this topic. Please go to the Juve forum.

Abate deserves it... but its not a move that we should worry or complain about ...

What personal insults mate ?
I'm simply telling you to rest your mind with a glass of milk which is known to do just that...I myself have one. It's soothing.
Then I suggested we continue this tomorrow before complimenting you as a champion.
What offended you ?

The last I checked mate, sarcasm wasn't a personal insult unless it was attacking you, which it wasn't.

Re: Give your favorite Milan line up for next year
Back to MILAN line-ups for NEXT YEAR...
Goalkeeper: I think there's a clear consensus that Abbiati will be the first choice. I don't think we will spend money on a star 'keeper anytime soon, so that's the way it will stay.
Defence: Once again, Abate-Nesta-Silva-Taiwo seem to have these positions wrapped up. The only changes I can see possibly happening are Taiwo's replacement with Zambrotta if he fails miserably and Mexes replacing Nesta should he have a very disrupted season due to injury. Obviously Abate has secured his spot now. Arguably the safest spot in the whole team is Silva at CB.
Midfield: Assuming a 4-3-1-2 formation, this is where it can get tricky... Van Bommel is surely one of our top 3 midfielders, but whether he can edge out a fully-fit Gattuso or Ambrosini for a spot is questionable. As is well known, we are currently missing a really great LCM/CAM. Emanuelson is too much of an attacker to play in the midfield role, especially with the already attack-minded Taiwo there. Boateng's has been a revalation, however, I would only call his CAM games partially successful, considering that an unfit Cassano was even better in that position. Evidently, Mr. X has to slot in somewhere there too, either CAM or LCM, but more likely LCM.
Attack: Ibrahimovic and Pato are the preferred strikers. Robinho could be used as a striker, but for his poor finishing. Thus, I'd prefer him in CAM most of the time. Inzaghi and Paloschi would serve as the experienced and youthful substitutes for whoever starts. It must be said, though, starting Inzaghi in Champions League games may prove beneficial due to his marvelous record in that competition.
So that's it, what do you think?

Maybe Marchisio isn't mediocre, but I thought that you think Aquilani should not even by purchased by Juve. Lol Sciacca, you shouldn't change your opinion just because it better suits one topic than another.... Many better midfielders in mediocre teams than Aquilani.

1) This year, in the game against Ireland, the most recent one, Prandelli, Trapattoni, and his assistant Tardelli all played for Juventus. Buffon, Cassani (youth product), Barzaletti (ex-Juventus), Bonucci, Chiellini, Marchisio, Matri, Criscito (youth product) were all on the bench for the Italian team.
2) Because remember: we wouldn't have to rely on "mediocracy" if the other teams like Milan (AC and Inter) provided alternatives.
1) I like how you put in Cassani and Criscito and say they are youth products but then put in Matri who is Milan's youth product
2) Well that's just not true...

I'm not understanding the relationship here between price and talent. If Messi were available to me for 300M Euro, I would not pay it despite the fact that he is undoubtably the greatest player on earth.
Aquilani was simply too expensive, simple.

Re: Give your favorite Milan line up for next year
I think Aquilani would fit perfectly into our mid, our fitness center and MilanLab are top knotch and I'm sure will take care of Aquilani. At Juve last season he was fairly fit for his standards. I think he can become very important for us if we actually sign him. If Mr. X plays in Italy all fingers are pointing at Aquilani, Hamsik and Montolivo. I'd also like to swoop on Nocerino as well, to me is a mixture of Ambrosini and Gattuso, and that's a player that can play for us for a long time.

Put it this way, then. If you would not pay 16m euro's for a midfielder, he is mediocre.

I've gotta say I found this laughable too. Even V. Bommel could be added to this list the way he played last season and considering he made the WC final. But, even if you don't add him, Ibra is impossible to compare to any big Italian striker out there at the moment and Silva...well, not only is he great, but Italy's CBs are not very good at the moment anyway, eg. are we talking about the same Ranocchia who scored an OG v Shalke and the same Bonnuci who's defensive strength led Juventus all the way up to scale the heights of 7th place?
I think Rossi is perhaps in better form than Pato at the moment, but not Pazzini or Matri.
And please don't tell me I'm biased against Italian players because I'm a massive Italy fan, they even won the World Cup on my birthday. This discussion was never meant to be about the national team anyway, but I just had to comment on how ridiculous this claim was.

Always nice having heated debates with interistas and juvetini(sorry, i mean juvetalias) since juvetalia is the all italian club, dont you guys think it would be soothing having bonera and antonini as your major coup this transfer window?
