The Liverpool Echo reports that David Ngog is on the verge of a move to Aston Villa. The paper claims Villa will sign Ngog and Chris Mavinga (who?!) for a combined fee of £5 million.

Mavinga's contract runs out soon and doesn't want to play for LFC. He can leave.

We're still making a profit in terms of selling N'gog, though. We only bought him for 1.5m and it didn't work out, sadly. After all, he didn't do anything spectacular for his price to rise up dramatically...

Reading reports it seems Villa are holding out for 19mil and transfer request from Downing.Maybe 15mil + Ngog could do the trick HOPEFULLY.

Valencia's crossing is better than both Baines and Downing IMO.

I would rate Downing at £15 million. But considering our dire situation, I would go for £12 million + Ngog (£17 million). £15 million + Ngog (£20 million) seems a bit too steep. But it will get us what we need and free us from what we don't want.

1. Emilio Izaguirre: the 25-year old LB from Celtic who played 33 games in 2010-11

2. Jose Enrique: the 26-year old LB from NUFC who played 36 games in 2010-11

3. Charlie Adam: the 27-year old CM from Blackpool who played 36 games in 2010-11

4. Stewart Downing: the 27-year old LW from Villa who played 44 games in 2010-11

another recent rumor is Adam Jonson, the 24-year old LW from City. He played 29 games last year.

Downing bid gets rejected is up on The Guardian . . i guess then its pretty serious. . also the report suggests we might use Ngog as makeweight . . & on another note. .only Malouda and Silva had more accurate passes then Downing. . & I guess its understandable AVFC asking for more because he was their best player last year & was better then Young (atleast last year) but i hope we don't offer any more cash & rather put in Ngog in the midst. .

well Johnson can be cut off the list in my opinion . .some additions would be there in the list. .& i believe we will end up with Izzaguirre rather then Enrique & Arsenal would get him . .

Downing & Adam still remain our strongest rumors. .I don't know what will do for Adam but i agree with most of us here that Ngog+cash maybe (14m) would do the trick . .

in my opinion i guess we might end up with either Mata or Cazorla. . depending on whom we force most. .

& dude! Charlie Adam & Jose Enrique are 25!

I would be shocked if Downing and Adam aren't Liverpool players before the end of window.We clearly want them desperately and no one is competing with us and there are definitive prices for both so i am pretty much sure we will sign them both sooner rather than later IMO.

Btw Press association has reported that Villa wants 19mil for Dowing and has informed of the price.I wont be surprised if we offer them 13mil +Ngog this week itself tbh

I sort of have a feeling that's the nail in the coffin for Aqua. . n i expect Shelvey to be on loan . .
