Re: AS Roma Transfer Rumours
Don't think Jozy's a good fit for us. He's scored about 15 goals in the Eredivisie this season, but his style of play is not suited for Calcio. Doesn't have the technical ability or guile to get past big defenders like Barzagli and Silva.

Re: AS Roma Transfer Rumours
I agree, even as a huge supporter of the US National Team, Jozy just hasn't reached the type of ability I would expect out of him.
He has such a big body and frame, but he plays so small. In the end I think his penchant to get pushed around is the reason he will never be a world class footballer. He will forever play in fringe leagues where he won't have to face larger technically gifted defenders.
He could go the same route as Bradley and play for a smaller squad to get his footing in Serie A, but I after his experience at Hull I don't think it would really work.

Agree as well, however the difference between Jozy and Bradley is that Bradley put in some sterling performances against the big boys, with the Juve matches being the best ones as well as our game with them not too long ago. He stood toe to toe with midfielders like Vidal and De Rossi and didn't look at all fazed. Jozy probably would be intimidated by guys like Chiellini and Lucio (though he actually held own against the latter at the Confed Cup back in 09 admittedly).

Not the defender he once was touted to be. Could be a huge risk. Can't see it happening honestly.

Re: AS Roma Transfer Rumours
Market here is all the names
INSIDE SPORTS - The Rome follows two Villareal players: the first is Nilmar (27), set aside some time to the team AS Roma, while the second is Mateo Musacchio) , a young Argentine defender. Continues to apply even Rodrigo Palacio (30) while Montella would bring Rome Alejandro Gomez (24) of Catania. Germany, meanwhile, bounces off the rumor that the Giallorossi interested Serdar Tasci (25), Stuttgart defender.
JOURNAL OF SPORT - Compared to the names already mentioned, the pink adds to Pedro Geromel (26) , defender of Cologne

Re: AS Roma Transfer Rumours
Geromel and Mussachio
Been wanting Geromel for like 2 years now. Great defender, but suffered a bad injury last season. With Cologne relegated, we could get him on the cheap.
Juan's successor methinks.

Inter Mattia Destro. The Rome waits
The result is a real auction for Mattia Destro , striker Siena but in ownership between the Tuscan club and Genoa . The ' Inter wants to return to Inter, and to this end, the technical director, Marco Branca , met today the President rossoblu Precious to discuss the purchase of half of the card. The player, however, interesting to other clubs such as Rome , as also confirmed by the satellite broadcaster Sky Sport24

Im not a fan of Destro.
Lets hold Bojan for another year. Buy someone between Musachio and Geromel, or both!

Yea, am I the only one the finds this extremely strange? I mean, if they like him, then I think they might actually kill to get to Taddei.

Re: AS Roma Transfer Rumours
http://www.football-italia.net/18905/musacchio-ready-roma-talks
“Musacchio is wanted by Roma directors, they have been tracking him for some time and this is why we’ll speak to them soon,” agent Marcelo Lombilla told Tele Radio Stereo.
“Having said that, we have to understand what intentions the President has, as now the club has to be redeveloped after the unexpected relegation.
“Musacchio had important offers from many European clubs. He is popular because he is a modern defender.”

Re: AS Roma Transfer Rumours
Damn, Milan signed Montolivo. A free transfer. What were we waiting and thinking. Would have been perfect. We need a midfielder who can build from deeper positions, DDR and Gago are both defensive, so all the creativity is on the shoulders of Pjanic.

Did you not hear, apparently we're not a big enough club for Montolivo those were his words last summer so *bleep* him he's pretty average anyways, nothing special.

Re: AS Roma Transfer Rumours
Fulham are opening themselves up in earnest about our interest in Dempsey. They're prepared to let him go if a good offer comes for him. No idea what their starting price is though.
Bradley's agent still hasn't heard anything though.
We're also in officially for Rolando and Ocampos as well.

Re: AS Roma Transfer Rumours
Sabatini is in Portugal, reportedly working on Benfica's Garay and Porto's Rolando and Rodriguez.
According to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Roma are ready to offer 8 million euros for both center backs. Benfica is asking for 15 while Porto are asking for 12-13. We're evaluating which club is more likely to lower their asking price. Though lately Porto has completely denied the possibility of Rolando being transferred.
