Re: AS Roma Transfer Rumours pt. II
14m we just made from that sale in order to get Destro makes quite a bit of sense.
We would not have let Borini go if we didn't think we had the Destro transfer in the bag and that looks to be the case.

In all likelihood the fee is somewhere inbetween. It's probably about 10e mil up front with add-ons based on performances.

Pizarro wants Chile return
By Football Italia staff
David Pizarro is reportedly keen to end his Roma career this summer in favour of a move back to his native Chile.
The creative midfielder fell out of favour at the club last term under Luis Enrique and spent the final six months of the season on loan in England with Manchester City.
Whilst he is now back with the Giallorossi and involved in their pre-season training, he is understood to be looking for a new club and has recently been linked with a move to Fiorentina.
However, reports suggest that the former Udinese and Inter man is instead keen to return to Chile this summer and is angling to have his contract with Roma cancelled by mutual consent.
Pizarro, who has a year left to run on that deal, would be the second player to take this route out of the capital, after centre-back Juan.

Destro to Roma advancing
By Football Italia staff
Fabio Borini’s sale to Liverpool last night has kick-started Mattia Destro’s potential arrival at Roma as his replacement, but Milan and Juventus lurk.
The Giallorossi have received an initial €13.5m for the sale of 21-year-old forward Borini and as the Corriere dello Sport reveal today, are wasting no time in trying to reinvest it in the market.
Destro is thought to be their primary target, with sporting director Walter Sabatini even understood to be meeting with his agent Renzo Contratto today.
At the same time, Genoa are believed to be moving close to taking 100 per cent ownership of the player again, reportedly after agreeing to pay Siena €6m for their half share, marking a €4.7m profit for the Tuscans inside a couple of months.
The Grifone are then understood to be close to agreeing the player’s immediate transfer to Rome, for a fee of €12m.
However, Tuttosport believe that Milan, also in the market for a replacement to their soon-to-be-sold Zlatan Ibrahimovic, are prepared to match that offer.
Meanwhile, Juventus, also known to be in the striker search, are rumoured to have offered Genoa €10m plus part-ownership of Omar El Kaddouri, who is on the verge of moving to Turin from Brescia.

Tachtsidis to Roma is done
By Football Italia staff
Genoa have announced that Roma will complete the signing of Panagiotis Tachtsidis over the next 48 hours.
“Everything is already agreed,” Rossoblu sporting director Stefano Capozucca told Voce Giallorossa in an interview.
“There is a problem, but it doesn’t have to do with Tachtsidis – it has to do between Roma and Andrea Bertolacci.
“Everything will be resolved by Tuesday.”
The 21-year-old Tachtsidis has been specifically requested by new boss Zdenek Zeman who, while in charge of Pescara last season, was impressed with the player’s form at Verona.
Tachtsidis is a midfielder who was signed by Genoa in 2010 from AEK Athens. He’s also spent time on loan at Cesena and Grosseto.
He’s set to move to the capital in a co-ownership deal, while Bertolacci – who has spent two years on loan at Lecce – may head to Marassi in exchange as part of the agreement.

Roma are moving for Destro
By Football Italia staff
Genoa have admitted that Roma are well placed to sign Mattia Destro outright should the port club complete a deal with Siena first.
The Italian international is currently in Tuscany after Siena bought a half-share in his contract after last season’s loan stint.
But the Marassi outfit are hoping to sign that 50 per cent share back and then immediately sell him to a bigger club, with Inter, Juventus and Milan also keen.
“In the eventuality that Genoa manage to sign him back from Siena, then I can say with some certainty that Roma moved early and very well for the player,” Genoa CEO Pietro Lo Monaco told Radio Mana Mana.
“Roma have taken the steps they feel necessary and I hope that we can resolve the situation with Siena at some stage this week.
“The player has proved that he deserves to play at the highest levels.”
Destro, an Italian Under-21 international striker, scored 12 goals in Serie A last term and was included in Italy’s preliminary 32-man squad for Euro 2012.
“There are only two options for Destro,” Lo Monaco continued. “He will either stay at Siena for a season or he returns to us and we will then consider offers.”

Sky Italia reporting that we may sign both Sebastian Jung from Eintracht Frankfurt and Ivan Piris from Sao Paulo respectively if Sabatini decides to put Aleandro Rosi up for sale. That would essentially solve the RB problem for the season.
Piris is very close to joining us anyway actually according to Radio Radio.

Curci completes Bologna move
By Football Italia staff
Stadio Dall’Ara outfit Bologna have confirmed the capture of goalkeeper Gianluca Curci from Roma.
The 27-year-old has been signed on a one-season loan deal, with an option to be netted outright next summer.
“I’m starting a new adventure in which I will give the very best of myself,” the former Italian Under-21 international stated.
Bologna needed a new custodian after opting to sell Jean Francois Gillet to newly promoted Torino.
Curci, who will have to do battle with Federico Agliardi for the gloves, spent last season as a reserve at Roma following loan spells at Siena and Sampdoria.

Roma close in on Destro
By Football Italia staff
Even as Genoa and Siena fail to resolve their co-ownership of striker Mattia Destro, his future looks set to be at Roma, as talks are reportedly being held.
A meeting this afternoon between Genoa and Siena’s respective Presidents Massimo Mezzaroma and Enrico Preziosi failed to see the two come to an agreement on the Grifone taking full ownership
However, both men indicated that Roma look likely to be the youngster’s final owners this summer.
“With Genoa there was a cordial meeting, but no agreement has been reached,” Mezzaroma told reporters this afternoon. “As a Roman, I would like to see Destro go to Roma.”
Counterpart Preziosi followed this up with an admittance that recent rumours of the club’s agreement to sell him to the capital side are not wide of the mark.
“Mezzaroma wants Destro to go to Roma, so I will do everything possible so he doesn’t go,” joked the President.
“If Destro ends up with Genoa then there is an agreement to sell him to Roma.”
Sky Sport Italia report that Preziosi is this afternoon now meeting with Giallorosso sporting director Walter Sabatini.

Re: AS Roma Transfer Rumours pt. II
Sky's Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Fabio Simplicio looks set to leave for Japan upon a mutual termination of his contract a la Juan.
----------------------------
Gazzetta della Sport reports that we're wrapping up a deal for Romanian U-18 starlet Claudiu Bumba, who is expected to occupy a similar position between Primavera and First team as Nico Lopez. 750,000 euros appears to be the sum that will clinch the winger.
----------------------------
Gazzetta della Sport also reports that Ivan Piris will not sign with us until after our American tour. Sebastian Jung is still being mooted as a possible target, despite Frankfurt's reluctance to sell. This could all lead to Rosi leaving, with Genoa interested in picking him up.
-----------------------------
Corriere dello Sport reports that Genoa and Siena are near reaching a 7m agreement for Genoa to buy Mattia Destro. Genoa will then sell Destro to us for 14m plus 50% ownership of Gianmario Piscitella. We're also willing to increase Destro's salary from the original 1.5m per annun to 2.3m. Fenucci and Sabatini have been in almost constant talks with Siena boss Mezzaroma and Genoa supremo Preziosi and it's been mooted that a deal is just a matter of hours away.

Agent confirms Simplicio rescission
Fabio Simplicio rescinded his contract with Roma this morning and is now free to move to Japan, confirms his agent.
Rumours have been circulating this afternoon that the 32-year-old requested that he end his deal with the Giallorossi 12 months earlier than planned and, as his representative revealed today, they amicably accepted.
“Yes, I can confirm that we have mutually agreed with Roma to terminate the contract of the player. Fabio will play in Japan for Cerezo Osaka for a year-and-a-half and will not be returning back to Brazil,” confirmed Gilmar Rinaldi to radiocalciomercato.it.
“A year ago he was not even going to take part in pre-season with Roma, but Luis Enrique convinced him of his quality.
“By December we have received an offer from China, which Enrique blocked. Fabio now goes to Japan where he can further demonstrate his value, they are waiting for him there as a great champion.
“Simplicio is proud of Roma and the affection from its fans, also because he always did his best when he was called into action.
“Talks with the club have always been cordial. We leave Roma on good terms, I spoke with Franco Baldini for the last two or three days and this morning we reached the resolution.”

All the best Fabio

Sad to see Simplicio leave, a really hard worker and another true professional leaving the club. Grazie Fabio!
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, we've also signed Parma's Wesley Yamnaine, a 19 year old french center back.

Roma-Destro deal in trouble?
By Football Italia staff
Roma’s swoop for Mattia Destro is not complete yet and reports of problems in negotiations have alerted both Milan and Juventus.
The striker is now fully owned by Genoa after they resolved the co-ownership deal with Siena for €7m, leading Rossoblu President Enrico Preziosi to suggest Destro would sign for Roma “within 24 hours.”
However, reports this evening claim problems have emerged in the discussions over personal terms with a difference of €300,000 between wage demand and offer.
It is therefore rumoured that the impasse could allow Juventus and Milan to push their way back into the race for Destro.
There are even reports that if Destro does not agree personal terms with Roma, then Genoa and Siena will not sign the contracts either, so the striker will still be co-owned by those two clubs.
------------------------
That's a pretty specific sum to be holding out for. Especially when he'll get it and much more in the coming seasons with us since his salary will rise basically every year.
