Speaking with no bias Marceli is better attacking wise, but apparently Alves is better defensively which I think is a myth because he gets raped when he plays RB for Brazil.

Marcelo was far and away the best LB last year, especially in the Champions League.

Attacking wise he is one of if not the best in his position.

Alves is very overrated.He plays on a team where his defensive fallacies aren't exposed due to excellent team defense.

You transpose Ramos who is just above average at RB to a similar system in the Spain NT and he looks like a world class just like alves.

This is for sure , Marcelo has an insane ceiling that is yet to be reached.

LOL at those who don't believe marcelo is a top 5 fullback, I never use to be a huge fan of his but lately I am noticing how much he contributes to the team, the way he rapes other players on the field is just godlike and his defending isn't as bad as it used to be. Plus Maradona is never wrong, which for him is "the best in the league" with the exception of Cristiano Ronaldo and Leo Messi.
