good choice, wolves on their day can play decent possession football, which would suit our style. would have liked him to go swansea but looks like they want an AM in mcrechan. westbrom would have been good too.

Arsenal target Lukas Podolski has admitted he is considering his future but will wait to hear what hometown club Cologne have planned before making any decision.

The Germany international scored both goals as Cologne salvaged a 2-2 draw at Stuttgart yesterday and, afterwards, the coveted forward said that his options are still open.

"I will talk to Cologne before anybody else and see what they have to say," he told ZDF television.

"Of course I am getting plenty of offers and I expect more of them to arrive to me, to my agent or to my club in the coming weeks.

I say we go for Marko Reus. This guy can become the next van Persie for us.
Tall, creative and can play a upfront or behind the main striker as well as on the wings.
van Persie is getting older and we will require some1 to take over eventually. Reus will only require a few months to be groomed into the same role as van Persie as a backup although he has the talent to win a starting spot for himself

Dani Parejo admits he's ready to leave Valencia.

The former Real Madrid midfielder has struggled for minutes at Los Che and his representatives have held talks with Arsenal ahead of the January market.

"I feel privileged to be a player of Valencia," he told Cadena SER.

"But at 22, I need to play - whether it is here or with another team."

ARSENAL'S misfiring Moroccan Marouane Chamakh is believed to be on the brink of joining Paris Saint Germain in an extraordinary eight figure deal.

According to the Metro, the French club are "readying a £10 million transfer bid" for the goal-shy striker who has started just one game for the Gunners this season. If true - and PSG are gaining something of a reputation as big spenders ever since their summer acquisition by a Qatar consortium - Arsenal won't be able to believe their luck.

The 27-year-old Chamakh arrived at the Emirates in July 2010 on a free transfer from Bordeaux. He came highly recommended but in his 18 months with Arsenal he's scored fewer goals than Mario Balottelli has received yellow cards. The prospect of making a £10m profit on Chamakh will put a smile on the face of manager Arsene Wenger and enable him to strengthen his Arsenal squad in the New Year.

ARSENAL have a fight on their hands to sign Patrick Herrmann after Napoli muscled in on the act. According to Talksport, the 20-year-old midfielder is on Arsene Wenger's New Year shopping list having been in scintillating form for Borussia Monchengladbach this season. Herrmann, a star of the German Under-21 scene, has played a large part in his club's impressive start to the season and the The Gunners were tipped to make an offer in January.

But Talksport claims that Herrmann's form has also caught the eye of Napoli and the Italian outfit are lining up a New Year bid of their own. Apparently Arsenal had been hoping to land Herrmann for as little as £3m but that price could rocket if a bidding war breaks out.

The British press continue to link Arsenal to several players, as the Gunners seek a second-half push to climb the Premier League table with the January transfer window looming.

Arsenal are in seventh place, and there are areas where the club could use an upgrade. Arsene Wenger's squad still have some key players sidelined with injuries, and some healthy and fresh faces would be helpful with the knockout stages of Champions League and the FA Cup around the corner.

The newest name to surface is Palermo midfielder Josip Ilicic. The 23-year-old Slovenian is valued at £25 million, according to Metro. Adding Ilicic at that price would be a change of course for the Arsenal, as the club has never paid £20 million for a player.

A more plausible transfer target is defender Jan Vertonghen. The Ajax skipper is rated at £10 million, according to The People, which has also linked the Belgium star to Tottenham. The Gunners continue to be hampered by injuries as Kieran Gibbs is consistently out of the lineup, Bacary Sagna is sidelined until January with an ankle injury, and serviceable full back Carl Jenkinson has back problems. Bringing Vertonghen to Emirates might be a vital move for the club.

English Premier League heavyweights, Arsenal, are reportedly looking to boost the team's frontline, by adding striking options during the summer transfer window. Club manager, Arsene Wenger, is believed to have targeted Spanish club Valencia's hitman Roberto Soldado, in an effort to help ease the burden on the Gunners' captain, Robin van Persie.

Wenger has apparently sent scouts to monitor the 26-year-old Spaniard and must certainly be impressed by his recent good form and finishing skills. Potential moves, however, will depend on Arsenal securing a top four finish in the current season (so as to guarantee Champions League football next year).

The London club did bring in attacking options in the previous transfer window, in the form of Ivorian, Gervinho, and South Korean, Park Chu-Young. Stale Solbakken: Lukas Podolski will stay at Koln for the rest of the season

Koln coach Stale Solbakken believes that Lukas Podolski will not be sold in the January transfer window.

The Germany international has been linked with a move away from the RheinEnergieStadion, with Arsenal touted as likely suitors, but Solbakken has moved to quash the speculation.

"Lukas will stay at Koln to the end of the season - I'm sure of this," the former Copenhagen boss told Kicker.

Podolski himself refuted claims that he could leave the club in order to boost his international prospects.

"Koln is my first point of contact. The coach [Joachim Low] has known me for five, six or seven years. He has always stood by me, he knows what I can do."

Podolski left Koln in 2006 for Bayern Munich, but returned to the club in 2009. The 26-year-old's contract with his hometown club expires in 2013.

Any one want Sow to come on-board? So who cares if he is cup tied? Its not like any of us expect our team to go further in the CL (realistically speaking). Sow ticks all the boxes for potential Arsene signing.
