Tuttomercatoweb state that Arsenal are closely monitoring Karim Benzema's situation at Real Madrid.

We must deceive Madrid into selling Benzema. Perhaps a Bendtner for Benzema summer window swap will do the trick.

hahaha. Bendtner will go to the press and proclaim he is God's gift to earth and that a swap deal for Benzema would be in Mardid's favor. Bendtner will deceive Madrid

Re: Latest Arsenal Rumours
Did we really have a chance at signing Benzema in the summer, though? As far as I know, he said he was comfortable at Madird and Madrid said they had no intention of selling him a year after they brought him.
Anyway, I don't see why we need him. Yes, a good striker is needed to backup van Persie but having two world class strikers at the same time isn't sustainable.

MARIO GOTZE is out until next month with a thigh injury — putting a Premier League move in jeopardy.
Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool have all been linked with a January swoop for the Borussia Dortmund playmaker, 19.
But the youngster tore a muscle in Sunday's 1-1 Bundesliga draw with Kaiserslautern.

Hence the rumors we'd swap him and RvP if he doesn't resign.

IF RVP were to leave would we really have a chance of bringing in someone of Benzema calibre? My guess is that if we were to sign some WC players before the summer than RVP is NOT going to leave. If we do not sign some WC payers going into the second half of the summer transfer then RVP will probably be looking to move on and if he wants to move on then I just do not see other WC players coming here.

Re: Latest Arsenal Rumours
Arsenal linked with Biglia
The agent of Anderlecht midfielder Lucas Biglia claims Arsenal are among a clutch of clubs to have expressed an interest in his client.
The 25-year-old has spent the last five years in Belgium, with his profile having risen steadily since his arrival in 2006.
He has made over 150 appearances for Anderlecht and forced his way into the Argentina senior set-up earlier in 2011.
His progress has been noted by clubs across Europe, with reports suggesting he is drawing admiring glances from Italy and England.
Biglia's agent has now confirmed as much, with it possible that the highly-rated holding midfielder could be on his way to Serie A or the Premier League during the winter transfer window.
"I know that Fiorentina officials went to Belgium to have a look at him and that they spoke to Anderlecht about trying to sign him in January," Enzo Montepaone told calciomercato.com.
"Interest from AC Milan? Yes, I can confirm that there has been in the past, but there has never been anything concrete.
"Fiorentina's interest is real, but Arsenal also like him a lot.
"Italy has always been his dream and, as he holds an Italian passport, a move to Italy is very likely.
"It is, however, important to pay attention to Arsenal."

I don't believe him, or anyone non-trustworthy on twitter. I have some reliable private sources away from twitter who are incredibly reliable. Will keep the forums informed if I hear anything.

Good thing we don't sign world class players then, isn't it?
