Nice, but little biased. There is no room for Roberto Carlos and Hierro there.

RC3 = Easily a top3 LB of all time. IMO the best attacking LB of all time, and mine focuses at attacking, so why not?
Hierro = Once again mine focuses at attacking, and Hierro IMO is the greatest defender Real Madrid had. Good ball playing ability, surprisingly a good goalscoring ability, a solid defender don't forget that this guy defended against some of the greatest in the game and was always as solid.

Xavi is a top 10 CM and I felt he fitted my system.
Messi is the best player I've ever seen play, I don't think it's debateable anymore, the guy is a top10 footballer.
Also Ronaldinho is a legend of the game, deserves a place IMO, one of the modern football greats

Even if Roberto Carlos is in top 3, you gotta agree Maldini is at least 10 times better then him, and dont forget back in his das he could also offer lot in attacking sense.

Hierro, greatest defender Real Madrid had doesnt mean greatest defender ever. Baressi and Sammer war far superior, especially first one.

If you choose Xavi becose he fits in sistem, then ok. But Ronaldinho had 2 great seasons, thats not enough for this call.

They both were great legends and I don't wanna compare any of them but if there was one between those I'd pick it would be Carlos. Call it bias or whatever but I appreciate when a man plays so sexy.

Hierro, a great captain. A leader of the backline and a very intelligent man. I rate him very highly and I think he is one of the greatest. The man went against the likes of Zidane and R9 and I can guarantee you they had issues getting past him. A great defender. I think he deserves a place in my XI.

Well, Ronaldinho is doubtable but I liked his football alot. Notice how I also picked players not only becouse of their skill but their entertainment level. I think that is a big factor thus why I chose to have Dinho in my team.

What is the point of making this thread if you want to impose your players into everyone's lineup?.....

Difference between Messi and CR, is that the first one has 2+1 Balon D Ors, won 2 CLs, best player of a top 10 team of all time, and has far better perspectives than CR, who imo peaked at United (just continues with same great form)

Messi is already a legend. As Zuibi said, he has the record of someone that is about to retire. The guy is the 2nd best player I have ever seen and is the most consistent I have ever seen. He is a level above his peers and will win his fourt balon d'or so why not? How many players have won 4 in a row? He is amongs the best of al time. Souness thinks so, hell even some of maradonas team mates think so as well. I would rather have Messi in my yeam than Maradona and Diego is thebest player I ever saw (for now). WIth Laudrup and Scholes in my team I don't need a false inverted winger/ creator, scholes dictates the tempo and Laudrup is quite possibly the best support player of all time and R9 up front as well.

Honestly speaking from my side i would have love to have thuram in my lineup but this is supposed to be a subjective thread isnt it ?Maybe that astounding world cup perfomance is enough to be held in really high regard in people's eyes ?Also i have included Nesta in my lineup.

Yeah well i certainly agree at present that CL Quality >World Cup quality.

But having watched him in the world cup ,he was literally flawless in that world cup imo.Thuram was brilliant in that competition as well.I certainly think that 2006 world cup was of supreme quality and standard.

Also to consider that Cannavaro has won FIFA Ballon D'OR so that has probably convinced people including me to have him in the lineup.Note that FIFA has always given importance to World Cup Perfomance when it comes to adjudicating Ballon D'or to a certain player.2010 was probably an exception.

I can understand that it is not all about personal accolades,but you could pick one of Thuram ,Cannavaro or even Puyol and you cant be wrong i suppose.All are great players in my eyes.

A lot of people here are posting wrong formations, with an all attacking midfield, like Zidane, Ronaldinho, Gerrard, Ballack... who will defend there?
