C'mon, Chelski, Man City or Liverpool a force in Europe? Very Happy You could argue that Manu could scrap by again but those teams aren't as scary anymore as they were before Very Happy

To be honest, City hasn't been a force in anything till last year Very Happy so I always find it to be premature ejaculation that they are considered something special Very Happy but that's just me Very Happy. As for Chelsea and Liverpool, they aren't the same sides from 3 years ago (obviously Very Happy) but they still aren't as badly shaped as you're kinda making them out to be Very Happy But, I think we can agree to disagree on this one Very Happy and I could stop putting so many damn smiles in my post Very Happy

Excelent work by Doc on his babun impression Very Happy

I think it's not so much EPL in decline, but the other leagues catching up Very Happy Also, instead of concentrating all the top talent in ManU, Chelsea and Arsenal, now we have City filling it's bench with all the talent Very Happy

They're like Arsenal's reject club. Very Happy

Bayern are as good as Asian chicks with tits. Very Happy

Guess it's only me who thinks we've improved then.

Only major weakness in our squad is our lack of wingers. Mata will be Lampard's replacement by next season or maybe even this one when we finally bring on in (Hazard please)

Chelsea is underrated, do not want to meet them, talent is there. Remember, Hiddink struggled too at the beginning.

I just realized how disgraceful the english media really is. And I'm not even talking about trash sky sports.

Everytime English teams are losing, pundits and commentators aside from the great martin tyler only blast the one who is managing the team and what the players should have done instead. This is all done instead of praising the opposite teams for their own brilliance.

Case in point is the commentary and punditry in the United game and especially the Bayern game where there was no praise for Bayern, and the englishmen went silenced and stopped analyzing after Schwieni and Gomez ripped a hole in them.

Saw the game, must say never in my wildest dreams did I see Basel coming back from 2-0 down at Old Trafford.

Sure United drew in the end but the sheer shock value of all of Basel's goals (great goals too) was stunning.

Not just you. I've seen a couple of Chelsea games and there is potential there. The football is much nicer now than it usually was.

Although whether that translates into actual consistent results remains to be seen.

That's normal behaviour in all honesty. The US commentators during the Olympics have a flurry of excuses when their athletes don't do as well as expected (which honestly isn't often) so to hear English commentary being bias and myopic towards their English counterparts is really nothing new, surprising or damning. But indeed, Martin Tyler really is cut above most, if not, all of them when it comes to commentating...

I agree.

Before it was almost expected that all 4 EPL teams in the UCL finish really high or atleast finals. Now, I don't expect all 4 to get far, I only expect 1 or 2 of them to get far and only think 1 of them has a real shot at winning it.

That said they have the money to get to back to the ultimate dominate force that they use to be.
