But really, ManC and ManU only make 6 mil more than Newcastle.
Swansea make 45m FFS.
No complaints here.

This is how a league should be. All teams have an equal chance to better their club with similar amounts of money by virtue of being in the league.

The date of the game was never changed. It was meant to be played at the same time as the Clasico, but it was pushed back because the LFP showed favouritism towards Real and Barca.
Again, it's not money related.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.................................
It was about the time of the game. Sevilla fans arrived hours earlier not knowing the kick-off had been pushed 2 hours back, so in protest they held up the game and started when they felt like.
Kick-off I think was at 8pm but was pushed back to like 10pm.

Re: Football Leagues TV Money
The match was delayed to broadcast the Clasico press conferences.
What kind of shit is this?
Two teams hold up that league.

Re: Football Leagues TV Money
I'm aware that the teams organize their own TV deals...Not sure where you're going with that
I'm not trying to lay all the blame on Barcadrid...I mean I've seen statistics that say upwards of 50% (as high as 65% IIRC) of the country support either one or the other....That totally sucks from Barca/Madrids POV, they command 65% of the fans (just in their own country) yet are being told to sacrifice revenue for 20+ clubs who command less than 35% of the fans?
If they want to save any chance of keeping La Liga important, though...they're going to have to - the league isn't that far from slipping largely into irrelevance
Inb4 someone mentions Serie A....Serie A's deal isn't perfect either
...But its certainly better than La Liga's - La Liga is so far behind in this regard its almost embarrassing

I would say shocking and embarrassing.
I have always wonder why no any other team in La-Liga can challenge this 2 fat chickens...
and of course if other team are given more money, they will be able to challenge them and that means more fans for them and more TV deals
Re: Football Leagues TV Money
That shouldn't mean shit.BhritanniaBhlue wrote:I'm not trying to lay all the blame on Barcadrid...I mean I've seen statistics that say upwards of 50% (as high as 65% IIRC) of the country support either one or the other....That totally sucks from Barca/Madrids POV, they command 65% of the fans (just in their own country) yet are being told to sacrifice revenue for 20+ clubs who command less than 35% of the fans?
It is a league. A union, an alliance, an assosciation. Whatever you want to call it. They should ALL be equal in each other's eyes because they are NOTHING without EACH other. If not, Real Madrid should start training for 38 Clasicos a year.
If Barcelona and Real Madrid have more fans in that country, then go and let them sell shirts and merchandise, and tickets.
As for as THIS revenue, it should be relatively equal. For whoever, and whomever.
Every club deserves an "equal" chance to better their club. No matter what. No matter how big. No matter how small.
This problem will fester until it is resolved, and La Liga will suffer for this.

Re: Football Leagues TV Money
I'm sure Bayern, Milan, United, Dortmund, Juventus, Inter, Arsenal etc have more fans than most teams in their respective leagues, but still, there's difference between the revenue money in that aspect.
But the essential thing is that the gap isn't that much

I think it has to do with them not wanting to lose any money or take a gamble on clubs that have proven over the past that their owners have proven incaple of setting a clear financial plan with the money they have. Instead of focusing on stability and building a project, they go out and spend money they can't make back on signings they can't afford. Their poor sponsership and financial skills are there for all to see.
Certain clubs like Deportivo, Sevilla, Racing and Valencia are testament to the owners spending big and not having an idea for a clear financial ad stable future of the club. This is what clearly puts off Barca and Madrid, they see it as a stupid chance to take on clubs that have proven themselves to be financially inadequate and just plain stupid.
This is also fault of the LFP as well. They have no clear guidelines on who and what needs to be done for someone to run a club. They have no specific targets or regulations the clubs must stick to and this allows clubs like Racing to be taken over and then 2 months later be dead broke. A large slap in the face is needed for the people at LFP the wake up and start setting financial constraints on presidents who spend what they don't have.
Barca and Madrid with their deals is just plain greed, but I do see from a financial view and business view why they are reluctant to take riks with the other spanish clubs. The TV deal expires soon so hopefully they'll be some changes but even if their is, it'll mean shit if the LFP don't enforce stricker guidelines and the other La Liga clubs don't begin to get financially smart.
