Re: Alex Song
yaya prolly has a trophy hand inscribed by dmad saying "i'm better than a 21 yo recovering from a career threatening injury", must make up for the lack of ballon d'ors
Anyway the context is all important. When wilshere was compared with Yaya he was a rising star who'd put in top class performances against the likes of barca, man utd, Chelsea, man city, ect. And he was clearly a better dribbler + passer than Yaya and better at his role than Yaya at that time, and was going on a steep upward trend in terms of performance until his injury.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHARaptorgunner wrote:I dont know why you bring up Song vs YaYa, what you said was that YaYa is better then Jack Wilshere. You said that Man city has better midfield then Arsenal, when we had both Cesc and Nasri. I know you hate Arsenal with a passion but even a blind man could see we had better midfield then Man City.dnmac4 wrote:
It's just not close at all. You could ask any scout, or level headed fan. Even the guy I'm arguing with wont say Song is better and neither will you so what are we really talking about?
Song might not be as good as YaYa, and there is no way YaYa is better then Jack.

when the form includes performances against various elite teams that's obviously not temporary form

Just making fun of the man that thought a players form meant nothing.Abramovich wrote:DuringTheWar wrote:when the form includes performances against various elite teams that's obviously not temporary formNo words can describe your logicDuringTheWar wrote:or if form doesn't matter...

Is there anything else you want to chirp in with? aside from "hahaha", or "facepalm".
And of course this season long form we are talking about, not a short flash in the pan

Re: Alex Song
I suppose your going to use that Barca game ages ago to argue about Jack, Yaya has done it against the top teams as well.DuringTheWar wrote:Just making fun of the man that thought a players form meant nothing.Abramovich wrote:DuringTheWar wrote:when the form includes performances against various elite teams that's obviously not temporary formNo words can describe your logicDuringTheWar wrote:or if form doesn't matter...

The Ronaldinho sentence lets ignore that.
If your point is peak performances or top form, Yaya still trumps Jack.

Re: Alex Song
Not sure whats embarrassing? the year I was talking about there was Song had around 14 assist and RVP was scoring for fun because of him.Mr Nick09 wrote:that's kind of embarrassing tbh
I was comparing our midfield to Man city's midfield, when we had Cesc and I said we had better midfield.

Sorry raptor just came across this when reading through this very amusing thread
Edit: I see, people have already commented about it. in raptors defence it was said two seasons ago when Wilshere had a great season while Yaya wasn't that good. But as we say form is temp, class is permanent Toure has been able to bounce back and prove his doubters wrong

This is what I said.Raptorgunner wrote:YaYa was a great player, when he was at Barcelona, YaYA was one of the best in the world, he would have ate any player alive, we are talking about now and I think Jack is better then YaYa.Ade wrote:Wow Jack is better than Yaya? I thought I seen it all
My argument was when Cesc was at Arsenal we had better midfield than Man city.
