Because he has never been good with us? We would have got rid of this problem and would have kept the better and more talented Pjanic. Wenger likes Gourcuff, I am disappointed he did not bid for him.

wenger didnt bid for him because he is not good enough..simple. so he is not good enough for lyon but he is good enough for arsenal?

He is not good enough for him but Wenger spent time in the press last season defending Gourcuff and saying he was a great player who will come back.

Players fit into certain playing style. I do not know how Lyon play, but he would thrive at Arsenal.

Gourcuff is very underwhelming, at least everytime I've seen him play. I'm with OLpower, Pjanic is a superior player with a lot of potential. Arteta was a much smarter buy.

I guess Wenger also has a mancrush on Gourcuff.
