Arsenal pursuing Gourcuff
Arsenal is moving pieces to sign Gourcuff.
They have made contact with Lyon and both clubs are talking, no mention if it's a loan or a outright sale.
Gourcuff is turning into persona non grata at Lyon, completely useless, he is still not integrated in the group and he is mentally damaged. Gourcuff wants to go out, so offers are welcome. Lyon have found his replacement already.
Simultaneously, Arshavin is making his way out of Arsenal.
from rmc radio in france.

Re: Arsenal pursuing Gourcuff
Oh man this is a real bad idea.
Gourcuff is the last type of player Arsenal need. He is simply a Chamakh in the midfield as what this means is he makes Montolivo's mentality look like Baggio's.
Arshavin on the other hand needs to gtfo out as he simply is a piece of shit with no work ethic and has stay at Arsenal has been overdue.

This should be a rumour. Or Wenger could be considering it, but only as a last resort.

YES YES YES please, YES
But Remi Garde said that Gourcuff was staying. However with yesterday performance he may be pissed at him.

Corgnet? Would be an ok signing. Can't be worse than Fofana anyway.

Erm, on a loan deal I'd approve. But apart from that, hell no for the reasons Arq mentioned.
There are loads of half decent AMs out there.

Re: Arsenal pursuing Gourcuff
"He [Gourcuff] is a player I like a lot and I believe people have been very critical towards him in France," Wenger told Canal+. "However, we won't be in the winter market for any midfielders as we have players that are coming back from injuries."
Gourcuff is keen to remain at Lyon for the remainder of the season, in a bid to boost his chances of representing France at Euro 2012.
He said: "My objective is have a good second part of the season with Lyon which I hope will help me to play at Euro 2012."
That means we're definitly in

Re: Arsenal pursuing Gourcuff
DO NOT WANT this guy.
i'd take the guy from Shakhtar over him. if he does come it better be a loan.
edit: and dont count on wilshere coming back. he's been moved to february, and you know he'll have a setback or 2. arsenal fans are better off considering him done for the year (vermaelen 2010-2011 status)

He is coming in January for sure. I believe Wenger can change his carrier and make him in to a top class player.

Add Gibbs and Diaby to the list of not playing this year again.
