I wonder if his contract will be extended or not... He was actually very good when we most needed him. Plus, we need his experience and simply the numbers. Can't go by on 3 CBs.

He still have one year to go on his contract.
If we got 2 CB's this summer.

then Badstuber and Breno are good backups.

Especially if Alex game, alex is 28 and got the experience

From what I heard it seems that the doctors suspect that he suffered an infraction of the metatarsus in the M'gladbach game. I hope he'll recover soon!

Oh shit, at least 2 months out. I guess this means time for Breno to step up, or Boateng to CB Very Happy

Nerlinger is saying Tymo and Gustavo can do the job, there is no need to panic .

It's not about transfer it's more of tactics, Jupp's has been wrongfully benching Rafinha and playing Boateng in position where he doesn't want to play and to add to that playing two slow defenders as cb.

I'm not really concerned about transfer as long as Boateng will now be move to CB and Rafinha plays as Right back. Breno can always come in if there are further injury and in any case of desperate emergency we have Tymo and Gustavo who can also play as CB.

We only had a bad game yesterday as Jupps said Neuer mistake was the invitation to the defeat.

I expect the team to bounce back.

Yeah, I'd love for Boateng to be fully used as a CB, even if it means an adaptation period. IMO, Boatstuber has a real future because they compliment each other very well.

Rafinha's meh defending which can be dangerous with Robben on the same flank, so we might be seeing more Müller now, perhaps.

Rafinha hasn't be that bad in defense for us this season, old man Jupp is too stubborn.

Clearly yesterday he should have subbed Muller for Alaba and also he should have taken DVB out instead of Boateng.

stubborn old man

Sounds like Heynckes wants to play DvB in the final from the sounds of his comments on DvB's rehab as well as the even play in the reserves quip.

I guess the race is on to get him match-fit.

From his performances in the first half of the season I would feel a lot more re-assured with him partnering Boateng over Tymo. Seems a more like for like replacement.

Tymo has to play alongside Schweini in midfield, it's very important that we've a destroyer in our midfield.

If Van Buyten was fit and Badstuber wasn't injurerd, I would have picked him ahead of Badstuber. Van Buyten and Baoteng are the ideal defenders we need to take out Droba, Drogba will find it extremely difficult to bully Van Buyten or Boateng. One is fast and they are both Strong.

Whatever it takes, Van Buyten must play, give him injection or something, Pain killers. He'll gladly take them.

Nice to hear. 4 CBs is a right number for a top club. That way we don't have to move around Gustavo or Tymo off position to cover our lack of depth.

I would have liked a younger talent, but I understand they are hard to find.

We're sorting out the depth problem.

2 good players have been signed already and deep deep in my heart, I hope Robben extend, we can not afford to lose any more player.

Pranjic I also want him to stay, he's a good depth player although Hamit Atlintop would've been much better as that emergancy back-up player.

Well, in the case of Bayern, the 1st team defense is pretty young (23/23) and they had/have the chance to play often to improve. Another young defender would likely mostly be benched and thus unproven in cases of emergency (see Breno). With DVB and Dante you know you have quality on the bench.

I really hope DVB will be fit enough for the CL final, even though it is a race against the time.

Babun

I'm not a huge fan of CB rotation either - decision making is hampered if you don't instinctively know what the other players in your team will do.

In training they will learn to play with each other.

Badstuber-Boateng-Dante

can form a good understanding.

Theoretical Question. If DVB is healthy for thr CL final, should Bayern play him? Cux he provably will be very rusty after being out so long, but woukd putting a DM in his spot be any better? Then again, DVB-Boa together have been excellent before DVB got injured. So what do you guys think?
