If Juve were never relegated...
Theoretically, if Juve were never relegated, would we be competing with Barca right now? Honestly, Barca are awesome, but im not sure they would be as successful if the REAL Juve was still around.

Damn.. this is a helluva "What If ". So your saying no Calciopolli "spelling", no ban on Moggi, and no exodus of top level players in 06'.

Re: If Juve were never relegated...
Would you be competing with Barca in terms of bribing refrees?
couldnt resist lol......
on a more serious note, the "great" Juve was not even dominating Europe were they? plus most of your top players would have all retired by now (except Buffon0

what about Ibra, zambrotta and cannavaro ?
these 3 were on a very good form that year... along with buffon, nedved and Del Piero ofc...
they'd have kept juve in the title race ( and favorites to win ) for the following 2 or 3 years at least..
which means more money.. and guaranteed participation in the CL..
and one important thing is...
players like Aguero would have no problem signing for Juve..
I hope they'll come back soon...

Well if Milan were actually allowed the goal disallowed for ABSOLUTELY no reason in the 2006 semi final against Barca, we most likely would've been in the CL final and could've had 8 titles.

C'mon man.. it's not the same...
Relegation, Points deduction > Puyol's dive
i mean.. if we were really.. really better.. we wouldn't have to count on that disallowed goal to win..
the real tragedy stays the 2005 final

lol.. score would have been 1-1 on agg.
Extra-Time than Penalties on Camp Nou!!
---------------
anyway, if not for milito's offside goal OR bojan disallowed goal OR alves Penalty etc..
we would have 5 CLs by now.. including 3 consecutive CLs 09->11

were it not for Eto'os offside goal, the blind referee at Chelsea, and the two red cards this year, you would have 1 CL xD
also, if Juve did not get relegated you would not have this mystical power of predicting the future.

Re: If Juve were never relegated...
We didnt win the CL, but we were cergainly doing well in Europe. Also, remember that we would still have Ibra, Zambro, Cannavaro, etc. These are greatplayers that eouldve led us to more consecutive scudettos, and while Nedved, Camo, Trez, and Canna wouldall still certainly be gone, we wouldstill be attracying the biggest names in football. Theres no way a player like Aguero would choose Citu over Juve for example. Rossi would jump at the chance to join us too. We also might have Dzeko too, etc. Imagine Ibra, Aguero, and Dzeko all in one lineup...wow.

The 'what if's won't do you any good. I could say what if pepe didn't get the red, what if Del Bosque, Hierro, Makelele and the rest didn't leave.

Lets be honest here, one of the reason why Juve attracted big name players was because of money, and City are just that at the moment. so to say that those kind of players would definately have signed for Juve and not for City is a bit fallacious. afterall, Diego signed for Juve when he could have went for Madrid for example! and btw, except for the 2003 edition, Juve did not do well in Europe for those 3\4 years before relegation, unless you are comparing that to now?

lol it wasn't an offside !!
Chelsea vs Barca?
Henry's clearrr penalty vs Chelsea anyone? (it should have been 1-0 @ camp nou, not 0-0)
Abidal most stupid red card @ stamfordbridge? He didn't even touch anelka, Abidal was 2 meters behind Anelka lol
& btw chelsea has just 2 penalties.. not 4, as some haters try to assume/exaggerate!
Alves vs malouda (foul was outside the box), same for yaya vs drogba (it was a double foul & both were oout side the box) etc.. pique handball was obvious a penalty, another one was for anelka falling in the box..
Conclusion: referees were stupid, both teams suffered from mistakes against them!! So stop this stupid propaganda...
----------------------------
When we played against arsenal last season, we had a clear disallowed goal for Messi @ emirates, another clear penalty for Messi @ camp nou etc.. but when RVP get the red card (as an incident ALONE was harsh).. but he already had a deserved yellow for hitting alves on the face, than stepping on Messi's ankle & got away with it!!
But Haters, didn't see all these mistakes against Barca, they just saw a single mistake ( imo it wasn't a mistake) against Arsenal!
Same senario tookplace vs Real Madrid, Marcelo stepped on Pedro's leg, Adebawhore pushing both Puyol & Sergio.. Carvalho making tons of fouls but he got away with it...
3 deserved Red Cards @ least for Real Madrid players, but Haters only saw Pepe's Red Card ( which IMO again is deserved) .. u don't have to kill OR send Alves to the hospital to use the cards.. lol
Alves did exaggerate with rolling on the pitch etc.. BUT, this doesn't deny the fact that Pepe deserves the Red for that kungfu show ! lol

Re: If Juve were never relegated...
By doing well I meant we were always making itinto the knckout rounds, and not gettkng knocked out by an less than spectacular teams. And if not for a bullshit 5th yellow card, our arguably best player wouldve been playing in thr 2003 final and we arguably most likely wouldve won. Thats like taking Messi out of Barcas CL final. It hurt us alot.
And Juve not only attracted big players bdcause of money, bht also because we were one of the best clubs in the world at that time so people wanted to be a part of our team. Its like now, how 3/4 of thd players on the planet say "my dream is barcelona", back then it was "my dream is JUVENTUS". It wasnt just money, so I thinkits safe to say we wouldve gotten at the very least one of Aguero or Dzeko over city, and Rossi, being italian, wouldve been relatively easy to get.
I mean theoretically, we couldve had Ibra, Dzeko, Trez, Camo, Krasic, Aguero, Rossi, Marchisio, Pirlo, Chiellini, Zambrotta, Buffon, etc all in one team. I know itd be tough ti get them all, but you never know. Remember that we had big names like Miccoli, Mutu, and Di Vaio as our reserve strikers, and Ibra and Trez were fightjng for a starting spot whenever ADP was healthy. Thats some serious firepower right there. ADP, Trez, Camo, Ibra, Nedved, and Mutu all in their primes, plus pre-prime Di Vaio and Miccoli, and Zalayeta as a last resort, thats scary attacking power right there, and thats just our strikers and wingers.

Re: If Juve were never relegated...
Do not see why this is necessary, there will be the popular opinion that there is no way of telling, the average opinion of ignorance which says "U CHEATED 2 WIN ZOMG", and the minority opinion who actually realize the structure of football.
LOL @Mzamani. Forgot that those players would have done nothing before they retired. Not like they would have won the Scudetto, challenged for the CL which in turn would get a better and bigger sponsor, and more money.
Not to mention Moggi, who actually knows what he is doing.

Re: If Juve were never relegated...
Juve would be stronger, obviously. Inter would not have that much of a grip as it had in the past years. Maybe Juve could've been great, who knows? Too much history to change.
It's like saying, what if Pep went to another club?
Also, Juveheart, your sig takes up my whole screen! And I run at 1080p. Dayum, must be a record.

Re: If Juve were never relegated...
Well I doubt Inter would have been strong at all, notice their track record during Juventus' glory days. Moggi: "You needed to pull out a calculator and add Inter's point tally with another team's to reach Juventus."
And lol I have to fix it, gotta re-format and slim it down.

Re: If Juve were never relegated...
Lot of ignorance in this thread, too much to point out so I'll carry on and ignore it.
Juventus wouldn't be on Barcelona's level because I don't feel any club is on their level, they would be on the tier below though, undoubtedly.

Even if they weren't relegated, all the idols still stayed with Juve. It might have taken a bit longer to rebuild, but on the other hand Calciopoli would have still severely limited Juve, or am I wrong?

Re: If Juve were never relegated...
I was just curious as to atpeople tjjnk about this, despite some peoples ignorance.
And how is no team on Barcas level? Barca may be #1, but barely. Real, United, Bayern, Chelsea, City, and possibly even Milan and Dortmund can all compete with them and even win sometimes, though more often than not Barca would win. I maybe a bit biased, but not much, and I honesly have to say I dont think Barca wouldvr been as dominant if Juve were never relegated.

It just isn't how I see things is all.
Are you saying Barcelona's success somehow has something to do with Juventus being relegated? Because it really is sounding that way and if so I don't want to discuss things further to be honest.

Success? No. Dominance? To a point. If Juve were not relegated, then thats one more team that at the very least would be able to compete with Barca,United, Real, etc. Adding another big gun intothe equation of course makes it harder for the rest. And Juve would be a BIG ASS GUN.
