Newcastle Relegated
How much do you think we can sell our star players for? seeing as i doubt the likes of Cabaye will stay for a promotion battle and we will need to cut the wage bill for a Championship campaign.
Keep in mind the last time we were relegated this was our Sales....
Obafemi Martins for 9m
Sebastian Bassong for 8m
Habib Beye for 2.5m
Damien Duff for 4m
Hopefully we can come straight back up again just like last time

Re: Newcastle Relegated
No chance you guys will be relegated as you are far better than the teams around you. Sunderland can't buy a goal to save their lives, Stoke are on a freefall and Villa are young...and well, quite sh*t (apart from Benteke) who they depend on.
You guys and Wigan will pull out imo. QPR, Reading and either one of S'land or Stoke(hopefully them) will be relegated.

Newcastle won't go down. As bad as they might be/ have been this season, other teams around them are worse right now. Newcastle won't drop as many points as they will and that's enough.

Re: Newcastle Relegated
While Wilshere is undeniably my favourite player in Arsenal, he still needs some polishing on certain aspects of his game. Since his injury,we've been less suspect on counters and had a bit more balance in our midfield.
Turnovers have been less frequent and we seem to depend more on teamwork rather than just giving the ball to Wilshere and let him do those fancy yet sometimes counter-productive runs through the middle.
Not saying he's not a starter but with someone like Cabaye in there,we could dominate pretty much anyone in the PL.
Anyway.. back on topic this is a thread about Newcastle.
Still don't think you're going to get relegated Mole, keep the faith.

Re: Newcastle Relegated
People are quick to dismiss. same was said about NUFC 3 years ago.
they are the worst team in the league away from home after Stoke, so not many points to be won tehre.
and their remaining home games are against Fulham (in-form team), Sunderland (derby), Liverpool and Arsenal.
if they lose tomorrow, they are in the shit

As for Newcastle getting relegated... don't make me laugh. It's between Sunderland and Wigan... maybe Stoke if their downfall continues. Newcastle are as safe as Norwich, neither are going down.

Re: Newcastle Relegated
I doubt Newcastle will get relegated.
They have 5 winnable games left and too much quality to get relegated.
If they do then, Coloccini will return to the club where he wanted to return, Debuchy will go for around 10m, Cabaye 15-20m, Tiote 10-15m, Sissoko around 10m, Papiss Cisse around 15-20m, Ben Arfa for around 15-20m etc etc.

Re: Newcastle Relegated
Considering almost all of the players MT listed came under 10m, I can't see even Ashley selling them with much of a profit sadly.

If we were stay up which is impossible now we wouldn't sell Ben Arfa for less than 25m that is his price as it stands.
Also too much quality to go down.... may i remind you of the team that went down before...

Tbf we need to win tomorrow too.... win tomorrow and we get a breathing space and confidence to go into the following home games against Benfica and Sunderland.
This week will define everything.

1st) They have the worst away record after Stoke. So even if they are so bad away from home, they can afford to be, since they have a fellow relegation candidate in a worse situation.
2) Sunderland's remaining fixtures are even tougher.
NewC will beat Fulham tomorrow and S'land next week, and that should see them through. Fulham are not in form despite beating a stuttering spurs team on the back of 2 defeats and they were very fortunate to win against the worst team in the league on Monday. As for the NE derby, it will be close as form goes out the window in a derby, but I still expect the home side to win.
Win those 2 matches and they'll be safe.

I'm willing to make a avatar bet with anyone that NewC won't be relegated.
