On topic, Benz still didn't regain his top speed from Lyon time...
Higuain is still recovering from injury, I don't like it. The only reason I welcome Kunt is because we can't gamble next season, at least one ready to go forward has to be there.

Paying 45 mil for someone to do CF's job until our 1st and 2nd choice strikers finds form again is absurd. And who says that Aguero won't struggle when he comes?

I think Mourinho just wanted a targetman and felt Adebayor could disrupt Barca's backline. Benzema usually likes to do his own thing and I don't think it went well with the tactics Mourinho wanted to play.

this pretty much. But then again... Why not play the only cl specialist in Real Madrid on his own turf? For CL specialist's such as Benzema, anywhere so as long as its a cl match is a home game.

I actually think that, overall, Benz is better than his Lyon days. He's just not allowed to roam and attack from multiple zones and angles... pretty confined at Madrid. But once CR7, Ozil and Benzema get their timing together, it will be almost impossible to stop. CR7 can switch into the CF spot and move Benz to the left without any problems. It creates a lot of problems for the defense. Ozil and Benz have already found that chemistry... all that's needed is for CR7 to compromise just a bit.

Sigh.........Never gonna happen(I hope I'm wrong).Also Like babun I feel he has not yet regained his top speed and like you I feel he is an overall better player than his lyon days.
