Tbh i can't understand why some people want Nasri to stay now that our mid isn't very good. Do you think he will make it better? We've seen him play in Cesc's position and nothing good has come out of it...Emaharg wrote:Remember that 2nd leg at Camp Nou where RVP got sent off? On the performance.
Chamakh was poor he can't create anything for himself.
Gervinho and Walcott did well throughout the match.
Rosicky was poor again lacked a final pass, turned off too easily and put pressure on defence, he did make some good intercepts though.
Ramsey was only spark in the midfield made smart passes all night but was let down by Song+Rosicky turning it over.
Defence did well considering pressure although Armero(sp?) ran through the middle which was disgraceful.
We need a midfielder in the next few days or we give Nasri his money to resign.
We need a back up striker and LB by end of the window.

i dont think its worth it.. He hardly did anything more in the final months of last season.. If he could somehow get to that form in the first half of last season, then its ok.. But its too much to ask..The Verminator wrote:Tbh i can't understand why some people want Nasri to stay now that our mid isn't very good. Do you think he will make it better? Well IMO...Gervinho was't that good really n i still think He isnt a player what asn needs !
Chamakh a very poor performance-what the hell is goin on with him-physically looks cool but on field still ridiculous !
Rosicky-out !
SAGNA man of the match-he's been just perfect list night..IMO
Walcott- very impresive but still not in his best-he makes some stupid mistakes absolutely!
Vermaelen-not that good ...GiBBS" "etc
Simply , im not satisfied with our performances last night..2b honest..this way we can do nothing ! Well good result "at least" -Hope 4the best.

We badly missed Jack's tenacity and urgency in midfield, Ramsey needs to try and controll the tempo of the game.
We got badly overun in midfield, eck i wouldn't mind Diaby back at the moment

Well we started fantastically. The first 10 min we played with some great urgency and intend.
But after that we sorta juz faded away. Our opposition got more and more chances. Udinese also had a better 2nd half than we. And we never really looked like scoring again. Btw, Chamakh, was fecking poor.
1-0 is an unsafe scoreline imo. There's no doubt that the happier team atm is Udinese.
Seeing two players already injured early on in the season is worrying.
Lets juz hope we have an inspiring performance against Liverpool this Saturday. To take confidence to next weeks match against Udinese.
And, AGAIN, Wenger gonna have to start buying some new players.

Re: Arsenal 1 - 0 Udinese: Early goals sees Arsenal through awkward encounter
I've been looking through these forums as well as some media coverage of the game and everybody seems to be saying that Udinese "dominated" us. Is anybody else confused? They dominated for about a 20 minute period in the second half but other than that we always had more of the ball, created more chances, and created better chances. Udinese were dangerous for sure, but Arsenal deserved to win more, even if a draw would also have been a fair result.
Oh well. The way I see it: we didn't concede any away goals and won the game. Pretty solid to me, but it's unfortunate we couldn't take any of our chances after the first one. We will be away for the second leg, but we will have a stronger team in all likelihood and any goal we score will give us the away goals advantage, so I will be quite surprised if we don't go through to the group stages.

Did not see the match as I was watching OL-RK but I heard a "premier league specialist" on French radio calling this match the worst european match of Arsenal since around 1999.

It certainly wasn't the worst, especially given the circumstances. Even as recently as last year we had less impressive performances in Europe. Maybe he was a Tottenham fan?OLpower wrote:Did not see the match as I was watching OL-RK but I heard a "premier league specialist" on French radio calling this match the worst european match of Arsenal since around 1999.
