Re: Very Impressed with Udinese
didnt thought udinese would play that good...
they lost hell of a talent in sanchez, a great winger, inter a great box to box midfielder, and zapata, a colossal defender, and yet they continue impressing.
arsenal played well too they didnt have VP, and wilshere. should be interesting encounter in next leg.
di natale even though he wasnt in his best was ... great!! this guy gets better and better all the time.. age hasnt taken a toll on him.
btw armero was beast... interesting talent to look at.

I think Kos was poor. But Vermaelen and Sznynyznyzbyn were good

frak, is our defense looking solid after a few thousand years?
Good things are coming.

Uh huh Walcott is useless, even though he got us a goal that's given us a platinum advantage in the return leg. If not for him, there basically wouldn't be a tie to tie upkiranr wrote:Not surprising!
But you're right, he's crap

Re: Very Impressed with Udinese
Walcott was basically doing everything by himself, since Chamakh was invisible and Gervinho was having an off day.
He also scored the goal with a nice finish. Had a good chance at the end which Handanovic saved (solid keeper, BTW).
But he's still crap? The frak?

Quick question:
What did you guys think of Jenkinson? I thought he was fantastic defensively

Re: Very Impressed with Udinese
We are missing our 3 best players, 1 got sold, 2 defenders just got injured. We dont even have our manager. No wonder we got dominated in the second half........

His name is not Chris Smalling and he doesn't play for United, so no-one besides us will notice how good he actually isIceman wrote:What did you guys think of Jenkinson? I thought he was fantastic defensively

He was solid. Hell, I'd say if we're not buying an LB, train him there and he can do a Lahm and play as an inverted profile FBIceman wrote:Quick question:

Just Imagine if Udinese still had Zapata ,Sanchez and Inler..
Anyways we Serie A fans were skeptical about Udinese's chances in the champions league because they dint actually sign like for like replacements instead they signed up a few unknown quantities from lower leagues on cheap..
But these unknown quantities turned out be a surprise package honestly..Neuton and Ekstrand in defense were quite impressive today ,And badu another relatively unknown name in midfield was quite efficient although i have to say Udinese lacked the cutting edge on the day..
Props to the Udinese scouts..They manage to discover some amazing talents..

Chris Smalling is actually a very good young defender, that's why he recieves praises. He was getting them even when he was at Fulham.

Re: Very Impressed with Udinese
If you Arsenal fans cannot see how he managed to squander some extremely promising counterattacks, you are all such fan boys..
Let me tell you something else. If it was Pires and Ljumberg operating today, instead of Gervinho and Walcott, Arsenal would have won 3-0.
But yeah, Walcott was brilliant today. I am ignorant LOL!

Re: Very Impressed with Udinese
Attack is our strength, so improving it will be no problem. A few signings and Ramsey growing as a player and we should be set.tsgooner1 wrote:Sushi Master wrote:frak, is our defense looking solid after a few thousand years?

Once we start improving our weakest area, then we're doing great.
But we have to make sure to never, ever, nunca, play Squillaci again.

I agree with this, but i cannot help notice that anytime a fan says this, it means his team was not playing really well!
