Arsenal - Udinese
Anyone here give Udinese a chance..
I think they're good enough to get a draw..Just have this feeling esp after Cesc's departure and all...

Re: Arsenal - Udinese
they have more then a chance.
we go in with A LOT of players missing. Cesc is gone, Nasri wont play, Rvp is suspended, Wilshere is injured.
Along with that, we have Chamakh upfront who is extremely poor atm. Our bench will have the likes of Chamberlain(17), Jenkinson(19) and Lansbury(19)

Re: Arsenal - Udinese
If Udinese had kept their squad I actually might favor them to win this tie thanks to Arsenal's long list of absences...
...but seeing as in reality they have been a complete disgrace to football this past summer, I think Arsenal will win rather smoothly.

Re: Arsenal - Udinese
it will be a season where arsenal will have to dodge bullet after bullet, obstacle and obstacle to get to the point where they are actually satisfied with them selves.
find it hard to happen now that players have left, and their squad has only lost quality. things are EVEN harder now for arsenal.
udinese has a chance but arsenal should take them out. anything can happen, but if they play their tactics and cards right i can see arsenal sink.

Re: Arsenal - Udinese
Wilshere should be, but you can never say for sure when an Arsenal player will actually return from an injury . If Nasri stays at the club, then yes he will be available for the 2nd leg as well. So will RvP, and Arsene Wenger won't have to sit in the stands either. The Fonz wrote:Will Wilshere and Nasri be back for the 2nd leg ?
If Udinese want to go through to the group stages, they will have to take the first leg very seriously.

Can NOT wait. Forza Di Natale.
Is Van Persie still suspended for not having 0.5s reaction time to a whistle? Seriously?

Yep. Everybody that mattered stood behind the decision. In fact, that referee is now the Head of Refereeing Development for FIFAzarola wrote:Is Van Persie still suspended for not having 0.5s reaction time to a whistle? Seriously?

Don't know how much of a chance Udinese have. It's like CL was their highest aspiration and now they are cashing in on this "once in a lifetime" chance. Di Natale is beast, no question, but the rest of the squad has left.

Re: Arsenal - Udinese
I am going for a Udinese shocker.
Di Natale to score three combined after both legs.
Remember Udinese went like 0-0-7 last season and managed to secure CL spots. They are able to get their head into the game when it matters the most.

Re: Arsenal - Udinese
with the way arsenals transfer season has gone so far ,players that have left/ leaving i dont think the morale is high so udinese is def in with a shout but hopefully not.
wenger quickly needs to bring in what the teams needs not only for the fans sake but for his players sake, doesnt exactly fill them with confidence when ur best player and captain has just left and with nasris departure looming, doesnt look like arsenal want to mount a serious challenge.
its getting frustrating bein an arsenal supporter honestly i wouldnt even mind udinese knocking us if thats the kick up the ass wenger needs.

Re: Arsenal - Udinese
I think Udinese are going to give Arsenal a tough time tonight. Arsenal have just lost Cesc, I'd be very surprised if Nasri plays because if he does he will stay. (ineligible to play in Europe with another side)
Robin V. Persie is suspended. Wilshere, injured. They have a very young, inexperienced bench. Will be a tough game for Arsenal tonight.

Re: Arsenal - Udinese
Arsenal have been my favorite English side for many years, but when they face Italian opposition, I normally support the Serie A sides and so that what I shall do here.
I sincerely hope Udinese can get something out of their match at the Friuli because I don't see them doing well at all at the Emirates. This match will arguably be the more important of the two legs for both sides, who will go in having lost their top stars.
Udinese are no pushovers though, weakened squad or no. If you guys are expecting Arsenal to waltz in, dazzle the crowd, and pick up an easy 3 points, you'll be in for a disappointing match. It's should be a close one.

GET IN YOU BEAUTS!!!!
Udinese getting lucky as sheeit with all these players missing for Arsenal...the problem is even with all those players missing the best they can hope for playing away is a draw...They needed you to be missing players when you went to Udine....Not in London

The bad news is that we will be in full force by then, and maybe new signings.
