Choking? we were better for 3/4 of the first half and owned them in the 2nd.
Cleverley is the real deal while Welbeck was fantastic

I wasn't specifically talking to you, but in general a lot of the Arsenal fans act butthurt.

Watch the goal again. Kompany, even when given the chance, did NOT try to boot it. He tried to dribble past Nani...he wasn't shooting the ball there, he was trying to get around Nani and move play forward. Don't pin it on Cilchy when its not his fault. For all you know, Kompany could have told him to leave it for him.

Mate Clichy was standing there watching.

You'd think in the last minute he'd at least try and help out.

No one's butthurt, were just reacting to what we saw.

We must have saw different things, but from the replay I saw Kompany give no shout, Clichy back off, and Nani jetting by Kompany. Both to blame. End of.

Dnt agree about Welbeck, but i agree with on Cleverly he looks great, deserves to start every week from what i saw against Barca and today.

Ok I might be a little pissed he left, but there is no way you can say he wasnt even partly at fault for the goal.

Try and "help out" ? How so? For the last time...Kompany was NOT trying to clear the ball. His touch was so light; he had no intention of booting it out. To say that it was Clichy's fault that Kompany tried to dribble round Nani seems beyond me. Clichy isn't completely blameless, I'll give you that, but the majority of the fault lies with Kompany here.

I did find it odd that when United pulled it back to 2-2, Mancini replaced Balotelli with Barry.

I think he did something like that last season. City needed a goal and he took off Tevez for Barry. The excuse was that they needed to retain posession of the ball more.

Surely in a one-off preseason game, you can just throw caution to the wind and actually try and win the game.

Losing in the charity shield? Not such a big deal.

Despite this, I think City will do well this season.

I dislike Mancini as much as anyone and I dont like nor agree with many of the decisions he makes. I also agreee Man City need someone better long term.

But, the season is long, the window isnt such and I think City will do fine.

The guy is really afraid to take risks, that's what's holding City back.

He played for penalties at 2-2.

I was totally stunned.

If it was 2-0 and he planned on being defensive, I wouldnt agree, but I still would of understood the rationale. But at 2-2, pushing a clearly fatigued Yaya Toure in a more forward position and bringing on Ozil's bitch wasnt going to do anything.

More possession? Barry cant pass it any direction but sideways.

They do need a "number 8" type player IMO.

Putting on Barry is okay. He got Johnson on too.

He could have use Barry to spray ball wide to Johnson and Clichy from the midfield. But City just kept playing too narrow upfront. Wasteful by Mancini!
