Other than that goal, Aquillani didn't play good. Montolivo was great though.

Fair enough.The general view among most Liverpool fans was that he had an excellent pre season apart from the Valencia match where he struggled a bit.

Either way he has said he wants to stay at Liverpool and fight for his place so hopefully he finally shows the consistency that is evading him.
