LFC Stats - Official
Figured we should create this thread. Was a little inspired by Crimson's website and hence went searching for some stats.
Little did I know that the Guardian Chalkboards have a ton of stats available. (PL Only, but it's still something.)
Put this little bit together.
Lucas - 2011 - Passing
Suarez - 2011 - Shots
Meireles - 2011 - Passing
Gerrard - 2011 - Overall

Re: LFC Stats - Official
It would be great if you could keep this thread updated.
One thing I will say about Lucas's passing stats is that people like to say that all he does is pass sideways which is not true at all.
Yes when he first broke into the team he was very safe with his passing. But I think he has really developed this aspect of his game. He plays some nice through balls now, cross-field passes, balls clipped over the top etc.
Lucas as turned into one of the best holding mid-fielders in world football in my eyes

There are a couple of us who have had the utmost faith in him since his arrival.
I'll try and keep it updated. There are stats for a number of measures and players, so I'll try to compile some more stuff today.

The stats I've put together are just screenshots from the excel file. Probably why you are not seeing anything.
I'm hoping to put together a website of some sort with these stats.

Man, that's a lot of work, lol.
Following is Henderson's stats for every game played in 2011. Not too bad for someone as young as him.
Also edited the OP to add Gerrard's stats from 2011.

What's his fitness record!!! I notice he has played 18 games and 5 against Big Six. Also, what's his disciplinary (cards) record!!!

@pool
Gerrard vs Bolton on Jan 1st, He has a total of 26 shots in 1 game. Is it only that game or including last year's games?

That is just the single game, believe it or not. The rest of his stats are rather average, but that's probably down to the lack of match fitness.

I wonder how these compare to Alonso's stats. None of his stats really stand out tbh.

Re: LFC Stats - Official
Just a quick update on one of our rumored transfer targets. I've not put together any real stats as such. Just an interpretation of some of the stats I've come across.
Stewart Downing:
Seems to play on the right wing for the most part, but his stats seem to suggest he generally moves all around the pitch. His passing statistics are not terrible, and match evenly with Kuyt for the most part.
The big difference here is that Kuyt's heatmaps suggest he almost never ventures to the opposing by line. He usually cuts in when he reaches the final 1/4 of the pitch. Downing on the other hand tends to hit the byline a lot and put in a good amount of crosses.
So on a head to head with Kuyt, Downing is definitely a step up on a purely statistical basis. (Not had a look at the goals, though Kuyt probably edges him there). He definitely adds a little width seeing as where he usually positions himself on the field. Seems to put in more crosses, more accurately as well.
Again, just a brief look at some stats suggest this. Whether he can slot in well into a pass and move system is yet to be seen. His ability to show up in big games has also yet to be assessed by me. I'll save that for another day though.

Great work lads.
That comparison between Downing, Kuyt, Silva and Jarvis is a nice one.

Re: LFC Stats - Official
We must note the crosses, Downing and Jarvis have crossed the ball more than 100 times from a wide position, Something which we need for Carroll.
