Re: Newcastle United FC
They need the DM that bullied KAKA in his peak in Poulsen.
They also need the English Messi.
And then Red only wants to send N'gog and Degen. Unacceptable. :\

Re: Newcastle United FC
According to The Journal( Along with The Chronicle the only media outlet for NUFC news i trust)
Newcastle still hope to sign Nolan Roux or Modibo Maiga for CF and Erik Pieters for LB.....
But no mention of Santon, despite the fact Thr Chronicle are running it as thier latest story.....
Is it really possible that my dreams will come true NUFC will sign a RB, LB and CF before deadline?
Probably not but it's nice to dream

The thing is combined with the 6 for Enrique it goes up to 41m and if we signed Santon for 5 and Pieters for 6 and CF for 5-10 that is around 20 million....
Still over 20 million profit for the club not to mention the fact alot of the players we have or sign have very high re-sale value so it's not like if we spent the 20 million as i suggested we would be in any financial difficulties....
I hate Ashley so much.

Re: Newcastle United FC
Barton should have been sold for some amount, frak even Liverpool was smart enough to charge for Torres after he wet himself and decided to beat the Garfield float from the Macy's Day Parade for world's biggest pussy. Here we are giving Barton away just because he and management don't always agree.Immaculate_Mole wrote:magpie wrote:I had a random NUFC fan ask me where the 35mil went, I only laughed.Immaculate_Mole wrote:According to Dutch media Pieter's deal is off.....

Lol.....
He's miles better than any full back we currently have so iam happy with him tbh i would like to see a LB join him and Santon play RB......
On a side note it's rumoured today that we are trying to sign Papiss Demba Cisse from Freiburg tbh if we sign him and Santon ill be delighted but if we sign another full back on top of that ill probably start dancing naked

For the good of everyone, please don't. But yes, with a strong defense we Geordies can rest at ease.Immaculate_Mole wrote:B-Mac MUFC wrote:Santon the next Maldini

No idea
Good news though.....
Finally got a LB in, a back up CB will sign in morning and with Sochaux signing a CF it looks paving the way for Modibo Maiga to Newcastle if you dont know about him....
Nick... one of the best posters on this forum who followed a bit last season while scouting Marvin Martin said this about him.....
St_Nick09_of_Goal wrote:You actually would sign an hidden gem of league 1. very nice forward, undergoing a lot of growth. he is tall, strong, pacy on and off the ball.
he is very good in the air, and does his best as SS since he enjoys going on 1v1 situations a lot, but i guess you will play him more as CF but it's gonna work out i think,
I would have preferred Papiss Demba Cisse( Who according to German Media we bid 10 million euros for but was rejected and they want 15m) but he was my 2nd choice of all the strikers we supposedly wanted.

1st being macheda? Right?
Seriously though, if you guys don't get him I won't mind him going to Sunderland or QPR. If he fails another loan spell, then he might do a Rossi and go to La Liga and we lose out on another 32 goal striker

I'll be honest the Macheda link had me really angry until i heard that we are looking at other targets.....
I dont see the point in loaning a youngster and make him better for another club.... no offense.
We have our own youngsters that we should be looking to groom as stars of future not grooming them for other clubs....
Both Maiga or Cisse will please me.

No offense taken.
Your team is looking in great shape btw, with the little amount of money spent.
Pardew's done a great job.
What's Rangers situation, because he's on my fantasy team and was pretty cheap?

He will either leave or sit in the reserves the club have had enough with his attitude....
Forward line will be Maiga/Cisse, Ba, Best, Ameobi with a few others being able to play there....
I am happy with the squad tbh i would like a rb to kick Simpson to the bench but overall iam pleased.

Yeah, I am rather happy. It will be a good season if things go the way they have been. Eventually settle into a comfortable spot on the table and hopefully do well in the English cups.

Re: Newcastle United FC
There is a good chance of United returning to Sochaux in January with a fresh bid for Maïga, while the same is also true in the case of PSV Eindhoven defender Erik Pieters, but that will not pacify supporters who have seen the transfer window pass without Newcastle brokering a deal for the striker that they sorely need.

I'll believe it when i see it.

Re: Newcastle United FC
I would hope they do return for Pieters and Maiga/Cisse in January. Though with the club's tranfer record, if it's not done before the last two days of the window, I wouldn't hold my breath. It was painful to watch the deadline day news, seeing nothing until the insanity over Ruiz. I'm still not convinced that the whole thing wasn't just another PR stunt to try to appease the supporters.
That said, I think that Ba, Best, Ameobi and Lovenkrands can keep the club afloat if one or more finds some consistent good form. Ba wasn't bad for West Ham last season, and Best and Ameobi have shown that they CAN find the back of the net if they are on their game. This coupled with the service of Cabaye, Jonas, a resurgent Obertan and [a soon to be healthy(?)] Ben Arfa may be enough to keep the club afloat. Don't get me wrong. I think they need (and the fans deserve for the club) to buy a striker, but I'm not convinced its the end of the world that it didn't happen this window.
On a different topic, who will be dropped to include Santon? R. Taylor's free kicks have been essential for the club the last few games, and he hasn't been a huge liability defensively. Simpson has been unremarkable, at best. A few shaky clearances and marking assignments against Fulham really shook my confidence in Simpson's ability to hold up defensively. I would leave Taylor and replace Simpson. What do you think?
