yeah, that's what I was after for. They must spend some more, you don't promise to re-invest in January and forget about it by August.
Well i never expected us to spend it all and neither did i want us to, I all i ask is that we buy a quality cf, winger and an enrique replacement.
So far we have bought a CM(4.5m but sold Nolan for same amount so cancels it out), LW and a CF but they were both free.
We need 2 signings +1 if Enrique goes imo if we dont get them then we will be struggling.

Ben Afra Marveaux and Gutierez for LW is surely more than enough?

I want a RW i failed with that post edited now, and Ben Arfa will play as a 10 but beside's if we are going to trust people like Haris Vuckic then i would be happy with a striker and an Enrique replacement.

I hope we do, seems an extremely talented kid.
http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/newcastle-united/nufc-news/2011/07/27/nufc-turn-down-bassong-and-beye-returns-72703-29125784/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
Beye was great for us , but is a bit old now would have taken back Bassong though.
Great goal from Vuckic and Gosling was fantastic, two reason's added by the signing of Cabaye and Ben Arfa playing as a 10 further illustrates the point why we dont need to replace Nolan.
Oh btw Sepi, that's bullshit and you know it lol
Will rely on Ferguson aswell, was impressed with him last season and Marveuax looks an exciting winger and a few other youngsters look exciting aswell.
Just get a speedy striker with good off the ball movement and an Enrique replacement and trust these kid's and ill be happy with the squad.

Re: Newcastle United FC
Newcastle United are considering radical plans they hope will bring Champions League football to the Club within two years.
Speaking from outside St James Park yesterday, Jimmy ‘five bellies’ Gardner claimed that he had come up with the idea whilst watching Sky Sports News and couldn’t believe that no one had thought of it before.
“I was watching the arrival of Sergio Aguera at Manchester City and was amazed by how few fans were at the ground, this would never have happened at Newcastle. I remember camping out for four months to see Kevin Keegan and being almost crushed by 3 million geordies when Alan Shearer came home.”
“We might not have the most money but we certainly have the most passionate fans, how many other clubs would attract 400,000 people for the signing of Sheki Kuqi?”
“The idea would be to loan The Toon Army to other clubs for the arrival of their big signings, if this works we could branch out into strikes, protests or just good old fashioned riots but the important thing is that we generate money for The Club.”
“I’ve made a few enquiries and have already had a positive response from Manchester City and Arsenal, they were a bit concerned over their club shirts being too small but I said that we’d all be happy in skins, we are ready to go whenever they are.”
It is believed that ‘fan loans’ are allowed under existing FA rules and would allow Clubs like Newcastle United to generate money from their biggest asset.
Owner Mike Ashley said yesterday that ‘he was very interested in any ideas that involved exploiting the Club’s loyal fan base and he thought he’d look quite good in Spurs shirt.’

Barnetta being lined up as Joey Barton replacement.
I personally would love this and frankly saw it coming, as have been linked with him all summer and it was said a month ago if Barton left he would be the replacement.
But in light of recent events iam more than skeptical.

It is hard to take steps forward if all you are doing is replacing those you've chased off.

Alan Pardew is not happy with the agent of Barnetta as he says that an offer of £40,000 is not good enough.

I do sense bs tbh, i cant think Leverkusen would pay that amount in wages time for FOOTBALL MANAGER :lol!:
Edit: FM says he has a year left on his contract(Ashley's speciality) and he gets 25k a week and FM are usually nailed on with these things.

So it seems the agent claiming he represented Barnetta was bs'in and his actual respresentives said talks went well i hope we go and ahead and try to sign him anyway as it's only a 3 week injury.

Yeah, that looks like it is official, still no word from the top (at least none that I've heard). He doesn't have an impressive run with Man U. Or anyone for that matter. Maybe he'll do well with us when he has a chance to actually play.GyansDancingBoots wrote:you are signing Obertan apparently

Pardew said he's having a medical tomorrow, iam not particularly happy about this signing but as long as a striker comes aswell its not all bad.
And like any other signing i will support him to the hills.

Will miss first 2 games but be back after that.
As for the Obertan transfer i have a theory......
I am starting to feel this signing is infact a Routledge replacement and Enrique and Barton are going to run out thier contracts and leave on free's next season and we will buy another striker.
Not the most ideal scenario but at least we will be a lot stronger squad wise for this season atleast and rebuild again next season.
I dont know why i feel this but its just a hunch

Still think we'll get Enrique before the end of the window... Especially with Johnson's recent injury scare.

I have to agree with Red (and not just because he'll poison the food while I am at work). Honestly, though, if there have been scuffles between Barton/Enrique and management... I'd rather them gone than dragging the team down. Which is a shame, really.RedOranje wrote:Still think we'll get Enrique before the end of the window... Especially with Johnson's recent injury scare.

Well Barton does'nt actually want to go, the management are trying to force him out so i dont think he will be a problem if he were to stay.
As for Enrique who i think is more likely to leave out of the two he has been very professional in pre-season( i know its only pre-season)but he does'nt seem the type to drag the team down.
Even if Enrique goes i think if we just a buy an experienced LB who is a decent defender it wont be too bad even if he was'nt anywhere near the overall player that Enrique is.
Barton will be alot harder to replace imo.
