Tribal football?
Behave son lol
Anyway according to most journo's we will still sign a LB and a striker before the window closes that is the priority and if there's time they will chase a Barton replacement( which i assume is Barnetta)
I will believe it when i see it but good news is never a bad thing atleast it looks like the LB issue will be solved atleast according to the agent of the LB we want ......
THE representative of PSV Eindhoven star Erik Pieters is "pretty sure" that the left-back's move to Newcastle United will go ahead before the transfer window slams shut.
Piet van der Pol feels that his client will sign for the Magpies in due course and insisted United's interest in the defender is genuine, he told the Dutch media today: "Newcastle's interest is very serious and Erik finds the club a real challenge.
"I don't know the exact numbers of Newcastle's offer, but I'm pretty sure that the transfer will go ahead."
I remain pessimistic until a LB and CF sign for NUFC none the less

Last person that we loaned from United that was supposed to be the best finisher at the club was a certain Giuseppe Rossi

Glenn Roeder(I think) hardly gave him a chance
...and look at Rossi now 30 odd goals later and playing for the Italian NT

I was holding out for Best, but he always seemed to be a meter too far away to do anything significant. Sammy though... boy he was trying his hardest to make those defenders look like idiots. And it paid off.Immaculate_Mole wrote:magpie wrote:Saaaaaaaaaaaaaaammy!

Pieters "I may be on Newcastle bench on Sunday"
http://www.skysports.com/story/0,,11678_7125573,00.html
It looks like it is actually happening and the club was'nt spouting BS like i assumed now sign a CF and give youth like Ferguson, Vuckic and Sammy Ameobi and the incoming Darnel Situ a chance i will be reasonably with the squad even if Barton goes and is'nt replaced.

Pardew has done extremely well keeping the dressing room together despite the sales of Enrique, Carroll,Barton and Nolan and has been some good signings on a shoe string budget....
If we can agree a fee with Lyon for Cissokho and sign a CF who will score 15 goals a season i think we can finish as high as 8th.

Re: Newcastle United FC
That is a rather conservative guess. I don't disagree with it from a realistic stand point. We seem to have some chemistry going and I'd love to finish in the top 10, at least.Immaculate_Mole wrote:Andres Iniesta wrote:NUFC win, again.

I think we will, i said as high as 8th because i dont think we can finish any higher than that even with the signings i mentioned maybe 7th would be optainable but no higher.
Because then your looking at Tottenham and Arsenal as poor as they have started they are still much stronger than us and we need alot more than 2 quality signings to change that....

From what I've heard, Arsenal has fallen apart. So maybe 7th isn't too far off.Immaculate_Mole wrote:magpie wrote:That is a rather conservative guess. 7th would be as high as we could without Arsenal falling apart if they have fallen apart it changes to 6th
Supposedly we have agreed a fee for Santon with Inter Milan.....
http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/newcastle-united/nufc-news/2011/08/28/nufc-hope-to-close-in-on-davide-santon-72703-29320168/
Is it really possible we are signing him as a RB and Pieters or Cissokho as a LB and signing a CF???
Who is that me living in dream land where Mike Ashley is actually competent?
“There are three or four players I think can take this club forward and I’ve put those names to the board. When I say three or four, I mean two to three to sign, but a choice.”
“My job is to put pressure on the board to try to get these guys over the line.”
What Pardew said i really do hope Pardew gets his way and then ill be singing ALL HAIL PARDEW.....
I get the feeling ill be singing GTFO U FAT PRICK tho...

Tbh iam at the stage now aslong as players come in i dont really give a flying monkeys shit......
Seriously is Santon, Pieters and a CF too much to ask ? As Pardew did say he is insisting on 2-3 players before deadline....
Probably not but iam going to bed dreaming of this defence regardless.....
