Hope the move goes through. Hate seeing such talent being wasted on the bench.

Re: our future playmaker - Josh McEachran
Yes he's not playing, but at least Villas-Boas speaks honestly about the situation, unlike Ancelotti who'd list the few times he benched a senior and say his team sheet depends on what he sees in training (obviously not true).
Like Villas-Boas said, McEachran is a bit unlucky since he's up against the top players, while on the other hand Romeu is only behind Mikel.
Anyways he'll surely go on loan and that would be a great time to see if he's as good as we think he is. He'll probably take more than half a season on loan, though.

AVB needs to stop killing his career and let him go out on loan now

Debuted against sunderland, he is playing AM but has not seen much of the ball so far.
Nothing to complain about yet. Good to see him on the pitch but weird to see him in white.

Could be the next Lampard, only with uglier face.

I think he is more like Paul Scholes then Lampard tbh.

I like to see him as Iniesta. Perfect fit.

He'll be Josh McEachran who'd make his own class rather than be a second hand clone of an existing player

Re: our future playmaker - Josh McEachran
Well for me the thing that is holding him back is experience, decision making sometimes and he can get a bit rushed. The more time he gets on the pitch the less that'll happen and the sooner he can play for us.

Re: our future playmaker - Josh McEachran
He also needs to learn to defend before he can play in the Pivot.
Otherwise he would be Lampards back up over Meireles.

Annoying that its not a Prem team, but then again its for the best with less competition. Let's hope he gets extensive game time which is what he needs most, more than anything.

Re: our future playmaker - Josh McEachran
Not many EPL teams would play him as a starter. Perhaps Sawnsea now but not sure who else.

Re: our future playmaker - Josh McEachran
There's nothing wrong with him going to a Championship team. As I said on here last week when Hutch was announced to be going on loan to Forest, Bertrand learned his trade and honed his skills almost exclusively on loans to lower league sides, and we all know how well that worked out for him and us. He's already starting to get England call-ups despite not even playing regularly, and he's odds on to take over as Cole's long-term successor once the big man steps down.
So yea, I'd rather he go to a Second Division side and play regularly (fingers crossed that he does, of course) than go to a Prem team and hardly play at all.

Started today and Boro won, that's all I know not sure when the highlights show is on might be able to catch it on iplayer or something but good start I suppose .
Boro to be promoted and Josh stays another year of loan

Re: our future playmaker - Josh McEachran
He played the full 90 and apparently had a good game, according to some comments someone posted from a match discussion on a Boro online forum.
